Corch, I wish you well in your final season. Take it from someone who also managed to hit the top prize in his profession once, years ago, it is no easy think to repeat. Dont put too much pressure on yourself and try to enjoy it. I have moved on from that myself but dont really miss it anymore.

Good luck

I bought my newest addition to my family.

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/983487438

.270 Christensen Arms Rifle with a 20 inch barrel and only weighs 5.3 pounds.

I am finally going to see what all the fuss about Christensen Arms is about.

.270 will be the newest caliber to my collection as well. It’s a pretty versatile round. I already have 6.5 creedmoor, 30-06 rifles.

I will probably buy a Ruger 22 and be done branching out of calibers.

Nice. I am still in the market for a small profile carry. Probably go with the SIG but I want to check a few others out. I was hot on getting one a month ago but added some new speakers and amp to the boat so that absorbed my extra cash for a minute.

I have a Remington 700 .270. Nice rifle...

Go with the smith and Wesson M&P Shield Plus. Less snappy and a better trigger.

I’ve shot tons of sig’s I don’t know what the fuss is. Much like the glocks other then having a ton of accessories why buy a gun you have to upgrade so much.

Lanier thought you were looking at the Ruger 9 micro compact? Or are you wanting bigger for carry?

Definitely check out a few. I was sold on the Hellcat until I felt the 365 and the Hellcat side by side. 365 fit my hand.

Lanier I haven’t shot one yet but the rage is going on around the Canik Mete MC9. Comes with everything. A little cheaper than glock 43, sig P365, or the s&w shield plus. And I mean everything optics ready, even a cheap holster, tools, cleaning tools, etc

Slacker definitely agree go somewhere you can put your hands on a few. Hand size, grip style, a lot of factors go in to the micro compact market. For me the sig would not mag drop would always hang on my hand. Not an issue with the Shield Plus. But carrying anything is better than carrying nothing. Don’t wanna bring fist or a knife to gun fight

Anyone into compound Bows or crossbows? Thinking of adding one just to see if I can shoot either but know nothing about them

Love bows and bow hunting. Best advice that can be given is to get measured at a shop, and don't pull too much weight.

Not 100% sure but you’re going to want a costume

I still am. Just got side tracked. I like the Ruger because of the price point. I will check a few out first. Since I have moved, I have not visited any of the local gun stores here so I need to start all over building relationships with one I have one in Georgia that I sold lure to that really took care ofme

I had a stepdad that was half Indian that shot the bow well. 100% bow for him. If you can shoot a bow while maintaining clear sight picture and steady posture you can shoot anything. That’s my belief.
