Check out the Walther PDP-F. Designed by women. You can find tons of reviews on youtube as well.
I bet that snub nose 38 kicks like hell. The Shield is an awesome gun. Also finding the right holster for your carry is a big deal to be comfortable. Are you a purse carry or on body?

Got out for about 4 hours today. Caught 38 and a crappie.
Walked out in the back yard yesterday afternoon for about 45 mins. Caught 8or 9 out there with a wacky Senko. Just tossing it around. Nothing any size.

Yep, the 38 is mostly bedside gun with crimson trace laser grip site. My dad got it for me over 30yrs ago. It was my 1st gun. It was kind of funny because it was wrapped up and when I opened the box it was my dad's 357 Mag. The look on my face!
When I carry, it's purse carry.

I’m a truck carry kind of guy. When I do on body it’s inside the waist band about 2 o’clock carry. Just can’t pull myself to appendix carry. 357 for a first gun. Wow. Love it.
I’m not even sure what is next for me on purchase. Rifle, shot gun, pistol who knows. I just need 1 of all of them lol

That Walther looks sweet, thanks. The 357 wrapped up was my dad's idea of a joke. The 38 was my real present.

My personal shooting opinion nothing shoots out of the box from factory like a Walther. Especially for an under $700 gun. Like the PDP-F you can get a decent holosun red dot sight and you’re banging for an affordable easy to shoot 9mm for way under $1K. Could even go a micro sight from a little cheaper like crimson trace and have co-witness as well if you’re an iron sights kind of girl until you get used to red dot shooting

You may want to look at the Ruger 380. Nice compact and can really carry it well.

When did this get to be a gun thread?
I have very small hands. Revolvers have been my deal. Love my S&W model 60 or S&W model 65. Haven’t looked at semi autos in a while because none of them fit my hand well.

S&W model 65 is a pretty good revolver IMO

Take a look at the Ruger 380 it is a smaller gun but is great to carry while keeping it really out of sight. Fits my wife's hand just nice.

380 or 38 special are very underrated

Walther PDP-F designed for smaller hands. S&W shield. Sig P365. Glock 43. Springfield Armory Hell Cat. Canik Mete MC9. All micro sized 9mm.
I don’t mind a .380 definitely would take that in a gun fight over having nothing. I just feel more comfortable with the stopping power of the 9. The Taurus GX .380 is a solid budget gun especially someone wanting to get a first semi. Easy recoil and easy shoot. I’d run at least 200 rounds of whatever self defense ammo to make sure in any gun there are no issues. I’ve never had an issue in any gun with Hornady Critical Defense

I started it. Sorry. LOL. I was asking about a small carry weapon. Was planning on getting one this weekend. Until the tax guy called yesterday. UGH. So now I am at work on Sunday trying to make some scratch to pay the man

I have a shite ton of guns baw and I don’t even know why. I buy because they look cool but barely shoot.
Bought a 30-06 as my latest gift to myself.
I’m happy ammo is starting to drop some. Companies are even given ammo away when you buy a weapon which is a far cry from the pandemic when you had to buy a weapon just to qualify to buy one box of ammo.
What’s my next weapon I need to get?
