So far, steven leath hasnt impressed me. Im starting to hope he only has the job for a year or two.

This would be a dumb move on Leath's part. This is political maneuvering 101

1- Let JJ captain this sinking ship
2- JJ is fired/"retired"
3- New Leath AD has nowhere to go but up while PR boost/low public expectations as he/she "inherited bad situation" / "picking up the pieces"


Leath is about to get a public relations bonanza just for "surviving" all this turmoil. All he has to do is pin this on JJ, not say anything that gets him caught up and return Auburn just to status quo

As long as he isn't completely incompetent, he will easily be able to do this

He's been in that seat for like 2 months? He hasn't had enough time for anyone to really form an opinion one way or the other. I'd guess the reason you dislike him is of his handling with Jacobs? I think it's fair that he neither supported nor fired him. Academically, Auburn has a lot that needs to be improved so I don't blame him for putting athletics to the side until the winter when football is over
