with the guys we may be getting in the portal and the impact players this recruiting cycle, Im not writing any game off as a loss.

With the history of AU football in Athens, GA, I'll have to see us win there before I start writing it as anything but a loss. Tuscaloosa too. It's like every other season we are starting with two losses.

They really need to fix the UGA/Bama home and road thing. If we have to give UGA two in a row in Athens so they will shut up about having to come to Auburn twice during the last expansion, so be it. The home schedule has been kinda shitty every other season since they started that.

Two BYE weeks is weird.

It's happens every time Labor Day falls on the 1st or 2nd of September. 2008, 2013, 2014, 2019 all had 2 bye weeks.

2025 will be the same way with Labor Day on Sept 1st.

5 home games to start the year is really odd and makes the travel and hotel budget a real nutcracker for those of us coming from out of town. Not likely able to come to every damn weekend. Sheesh.

If I have to stay in or around AU 5 times between 8/31 and 10/1 it’s damned expensive my friend. That’s my point- it’s an expensive freaking month.

Ok fair- what I meant was two in season bye weeks- one in October and one in November. That- my friend- is odd.

I'm curious if the late summer/early fall heat and humidity will offer any advantage? You have to think that Cal and New Mexico aren't really used to it. New Mexico may be used to the heat, but not the humidity. I don't think Berkley ever gets that hot or that humid.

What about Oklahoma? I know it gets hot in Texas/Oklahoma, but I doubt they deal with the same humidity either.
