It will be interesting to see these coaches pay scale.
All of them probably got a raise from where they were.
Just wondering how we will now stack up w/ other P6 schools and what Greene allowed Harsin for his salary budget (and did it include a 10% cut? :))

Our budget for Gus ($7M) and 10 on-field assistants last season was probably close to $15M.
I gotta think Harsin and his new staff are closer to $10M.

Byron Thweatt is a LB coach and special teams coordinator that was on the East Carolina staff this past season. He's been let go but he would fit the mold for the last coaching vacancy. I haven't read his name anywhere being connected just throwing him out there as a dark horse candidate.

He's also known as a good recruiter in Virginia and Maryland. Could help extend our recruiting nationally.

He actually has a impressive resume. Has been a head coach previously. They just hired a new DC that actually coaches the same position that he coaches is the only reason he wasn't retained.

No one knows shite about any of the hires, except for maybe Rocker, Caddy and Etheredge. In contrast to Laura Brannigan's thoughts, Rocker is not an "effort" coach, like the guy who just left. Rocker coached in the NFL, which is indicative of someone's coaching prowess. He played as a technitian and coaches the same. We'll have to cover for his lack of recruiting desire, but he's an NFL coach.

Fair response. I'm just saying, as someone also pointed out, we really don't know anything about any of the hires we're bringing in, sans the ones we are familiar.
Garner was a shite technical coach who brought his group into the season overweight every year, to play themselves in shape during the season. He never watched his guys for one rep in the offseason. Tracy Rocker is not like that.

I'll say someting else. One thing else. 
Nick Saban doesn't tolerate this type of shite, and hopefully Harsin will not. Saban doesn't turn the offense or defense over to a guy and hope for the best. He's the head coach and he manages it. What really makes me angry in hindsight is how lethal we were offensively with Nick Marshall, and yet we'd have these pussified thud practices under Johnson where we wouldn't even wrap up. I we could have just competently tackled on defense in '13 and '14 we would have some hardware.

Tenn firing Pruitt. Looks like his replacement will either be Steele or Gus. They will be under sanctions so no other coach will come in and take that job. They won't be able to bring in Freeze cause of his past with the NCAA.

No, the recruiting stuff that is being rumored has to do with stuff done in 2020.
