It's the run where Fournette flattened little Blake Countess on his way to a TD. I'm too lazy to go find the actual video but it was all over the news and I'm surprised you don't remember it

I can't really fault a guy for not throwing his body at people and risking injury with the game being out of hand.

The reality is that, for any intelligent person, there is a point in a blow out at which it isn't beneficial to you or your team to risk injury selling out. I'm not going to sit here and say some defensive back should be throwing his body in front of LF when the game is hopeless. I have a feeling that most of you out of shape white dudes would end up paralyzed or pissing your paints under the same circumstances.

I'm sure that, being a starter and all, he puts in plenty of effort training and practicing. I need not say that college football player are undervalued relative to the value that they bring to their university. Most of AU's $113,716,004 in athletic revenue was brought in by the football team. I'm not sure if that even includes their SEC Network payout. Even being very conservative, each of the 85 scholarship players could be worth roughly $300,000.
Not to mention the physical toll that football takes on the body. Every single hit that they give or receive contributes towards potential, probable problems down the road. So, no it isn't irrelevant, and you and your fat arse can shut the frick up about players half assing it.

It's clear you take this personally so I'm out. Have a good day, man

That 300,000 only has value in one domain. That domain is his relationship as a football player of the university.
That means when he doesn't play or doesn't perform, Rudy Ford ceases to be worth that much to the university.
Further, Rudy can't walk down the street to the pawn shop and cash in on part of that 300k. In fact, his value is directly chained and locked to his performance on the field. NFL looks at the bad plays. Everyone that was an SEC fan and any scout assigned to our conference watched Rudy want no part of that tackle.
So, if we are treating each player as having value and each play as a business decision within those two domains - Rudy Ford should be benched. In the real world he would have been fired.

is that you Rudy?
any intelligent person would know the risks of injury before they signed up for the team. what that means is not only is Rudy a pussy but he may not be as smart as we gave him credit for either. if you are scared of being run over dont sign up for the team and stay your pussy arse off the field PERIOD! Rudy was paralyzed with fear while he pissed his pants on national television. nice try with trying to make race an issue here btw... what a fricking loser.

You're a dumbass.
If what you're positing is the case, then why continue playing the game at all if injury is such a concern? I guess we should have just forfeited.
I guarantee you Ford would NOT have been injured had he given more effort to making the tackle, yet for some irrational reason, you're arguing as if there was a 50% chance he would get injured. You're arguing skills are at an elementary level...learn to think.

Remember in 2013 when we got blown out by LSU? Our guys fought on every play until the end of the game. Everyone knew we'd be okay because we showed in that one game that we actually gave a damn. We went on to play in the National Championship later that year.
You could tell by watching this team that there is no spark. It will be a long year and that's completely on them.

At the end of the LSU game I was just begging a defensive player to put a violent hit on an LSU runner. Of course I didn't wish for a long term injury but I damn sure wanted someone to be helped to their bench. It is my experience that a true competitor gets pissed when they get their arse kicked.
