Not much of a surprise. DJ and Shivers will have to carry the load.. if Shivers is attending. I haven’t seen pictures of him at practice or traveling with the team

Did anyone nail down whether this was injury related? COVID? Planning a transfer?

The AL.com articles about both Tank and McCreary we're about as vague as could be.

I’d lean toward injury related since he hasn’t entered the portal.. but he could also be waiting to enter the portal because he’d be a hot commodity

Steele said yesterday that AU has a COVID case that just tested positive yesterday. Steele refused to name the player.

There was a poster on here claiming he had either dealt with or was dealing with Covid. Maybe a week and a half ago.

Roger McCreary, Tank Bigsby, Christian Tutt and Brodarious Hamm are expected to miss today’s game. Defensive tackle Tyrone Truesdell is on the trip and will likely play only in an emergency situation. All are either injured or dealing with COVID-19 issues.

Rumors that Jamien Sherwood had a chance of heart and traveled with team, and could play.

of course not. Student athletes are spoiled and coddled. These kids are quittermans and can go frick themselves. I dont care how good they are. if they arent suiting up for Auburn, then they should have their scholarships and all that goes with it revoked.

If you decide you are too good to show up for work, you get fired. Bunch of prima donnas

Yeah. I agree. The schools gives you an education. If you aren’t going to play because you don’t want to, you should be back billed.

If they are quitting to quit, and not because if Covid or injury. They should owe

For student athletes, college is two-fold. First, furthering education and second, furthering athletics. They are not just students, they are also athletes. Sitting out a meaningless bowl game or leaving early is no different than a typical student skipping their final year of school to pursue a business opportunity. In fact, that’s exactly what an athlete is doing when opting out. When you bring in the scholarship piece of things though, it does make it a bit more hairy of a discussion. I see both sides of it but I think it’s a little ridiculous to blanket all these kids as spoiled, coddled, prima donnas. They go through a lot.

The job analogy doesn’t hold up completely because these kids aren’t getting paid nearly enough for what the bring in for the schools.
