I agree with all of this post. I'm a arm chair QB and it's obvious to that you're not gonna be a top team in CFB with a below average QB. I was all for Thorne at the beginning of this year, but we need to drop whatever size bag it takes to field the best QB money can buy and then bring in lineman to block for him

portal store closes January 2nd. No more transfers portal entrys afterwards.

Its been that way for a while and I dont see it changing. The only way you can survive is to have top talent and depth at every position like Bama did for those years. But now, they even need a super QB to win. Look how bad they were early this year compared to how good they look now that Milroe has his legs under him. '
It is a quarterback league now and I dont see us stacking the deck at every position and using a mediocre QB.
We have to keep upgrading at that position.

The other option is that our coach is a terrible evaluator of what he's watching at practice everyday and not getting his best players on the field (or anywhere near it), which is a much worse scenario for the big picture.

Game 1, no. Halfway through the season when we couldn't throw for 100 yards a game? Yes.
If we had a more talented guy on the roster why was he not playing until garbage time of the bowl game?
My point is you Hank Brown is the guy because he threw a couple of passes in garbage time are setting yourselves up for disappointment just like the people trying to convince themselves Throne was the guy or is going to have a light bulb moment. We have to upgrade the position from outside to compete.

I didn't watch the game but kept up with it on the computer so I didn't get to see Hank play. His stats were impressive. I also wonder why he was not given a chance earlier in the season.
Was CHF trying to give PT or RA every opportunity? Is this just a case of favorites or????
Shirley a top QB can see the opportunity with the terrible QB play and the 5 star WR coming in.

I don't understand what you're trying to say. The two QB system was a massive failure, the Throne experiment was a failure. The coaches job is to put the team in the best position to win games. If we had some stud sitting on the scout team all season while trotting out QBs that couldn't throw for 100 yards a game most weeks that's a huge problem.
Sticking with what we have is the "desperate attempt to be right".
