This isn’t a specific comment towards anyone here, but we get upset because this stuff happens but every time someone brings up contributing to NIL, it gets laughed at and people say they aren’t going to contribute to this madness. Yes the big money people are always going to do the lion share of the work, but the numbers are there if majority of our fans just contributed the minimum. It would be a sizable annual number. Not unique to us or anything, but I just find it interesting how we can be upset we get outbid but then don’t actually really contribute to help out.

We knew oregon was gonna throw an outlandish amount out there in the end.

But who knows fr. Maybe we were offering the same and he just went to the school thats been in the playoffs. That is another angle to the game

I imagine Robinson got more than an inflated offer by Auburn. If we can overpay for that a-hole we should have put more money in Blocton's pocket.

I find it interesting that anyone would give money to NIL the way things are right now.

I’m going to contribute money to make sure Deuce Knight rides the bench and tears up Mercer and makes more than probably all of us on this board? Blows my mind that people want to do that.

Unless you have F you money, no idea why you’d give. The reason college football is so profitable is already the fans.

If that means we suck, not ideal but so be it. I’ll still get my hopes up every year.

Proof of concept matters for sure but the way Oregon swooped in last minute to steal Offord with some promise of a shoe deal makes me think this is another case of big fish- little fish. The ruthlessness of what Miami did to Duke should have everyone spooked. Big fish is going to keep taking and playing by their own rules.

Don’t disagree. It’s a joke of a situation right now. Just mean it’s a bit talking out of both sides of the mouth asking the boosters to pony up and get upset when we don’t just write blank checks, but also not do anything to actually contribute.

I’m not saying to actually contribute at this point or anything. More so we just need our fanbase to understand what our capabilities are and aren’t.

ETA: just a small vent on my part. Not directed at anyone. It sucks losing guys like that but I have no issue with our staff doing their evaluations and sticking to them.
