There isn’t a very good caliber of coaches in the SEC right now.
Most say this is the greatest collection of top to bottom coaches ever in the conference. One thing is for sure they are the richest ever

Wow, you’re so sensitive. I wasn’t even talking to you, I was talking to nerd. Settle down sport, you’re gonna blow a valve if you keep it up.

I'm good. It's just conversation you can't handle it?

It’s apparent that you can’t. You go in hot on everything son. Im concerned for you. It’s just football man. Get some perspective in your life.

Before this year everyone said our WRs were so good. Where you been?
Jonesy will back me up I've been bitching about taking the 40th - 70th ranked WRs still rated 4 stars for a few years. Way way before anyone even noticed we had shite WRs. All the QBs fault even prior to Bo

It feels weird agreeing with you.
The post prior to your post said it was an inside out rebuild but failed to mention how poorly we did recruiting the inside.

I don’t know why we would expect the previous staff to improve on their 6-win season with a worse all-around roster against improved conference opponents and conference opponents playing at home. Would this year’s iteration of Bo Nix put up the type of performances that he did against Arky, Ole Miss and LSU?
Look at last season's schedule and then this season and ask which was harder.

I'm hanging in just fine. Maybe it's just to "hot" for you. Since you think you can grasp tone over text.

Shug went 3-6-2 his last season, Barfield went 3-8 the next year
Barfield and Dye had identical 5-6 records in ‘80-‘81

I agree. Last year by a country mile and it's not even remotely close.

Like I said this is the first coach in his first season to have a worse season then the season prior. Since shug. An entire generation of fans. Yes there are still fans alive that where around when Shug was coaching. I'm one of those and I aint that damn old

I believed we needed to move on from Gus. I wasn't sure the Covid year was the year to do it, but knew it needed to be done.
Gus wins more than 6 games with this roster. Probably 8 or 9. Harsin appears to be in over his head because you can't just talk the talk you got to walk it in this league.
I'm not sure what the answer is for Auburn. I know we can't get rid of Harsin because it will cripple the program. I'm left with hoping I'm wrong.

Tigerman I don't disagree with anything you said here. However, I don't think like you said the covid year was the year to let Gus go. I do however agree it was time. he'd been around the program about 12ish year. That is about the max you can get out of being in a program without winning multiple championships. Like Saban.
I hope I'm wrong about Harsin as well. But he certainly doesn't seem to be the part. He's a phony it appears. We will see. If I'm wrong I'll admit I was wrong.

Before this year everyone said our WRs were so good.
Last year we had a possession receiver, Seth Williams, who could go up and get it on third and long. And we had a speedster to stretch the field to open up the middle. This year we hadn’t either. But a bunch of tryhard guys that had neither the speed nor the hands to make a difference. I love Kobe Hudson and Shedrick Jackson, but those guys are not SEC quality receivers. The only one we had worth a shite in the whole core was the TE Schenker

Gus definitely left the cupboard bare
It’s unreal that we gave him that ridiculous extension in 2017. Well, not really, but it still shouldn’t have happened.
So many offensive positional groups have to be rebuilt. OL, WR and QB.

I don't get some of you. First off, let me agree with how frustrating things have played out this season. THAT SAID...
Before the season, many people here predicted the ceiling was 6 or 7 wins, but would be OK with that as long as the team was competitive. Then the team actually achieves that goal, and people are ready to jump off rooftops. Auburn was pretty much competitive in nearly every game, were they not? That's the downside of competitive games: if you lose them, they hurt like hell. They're supposed to. And we hurt alot this season, myself included.
If next season is a carbon copy, then yeah, let your feelings rip if it happens. I'm already over this season, and a few of y'all need to be too. The coaches were plugging square pegs into round holes for much of the season FFS...did you expect Harsin to scrap everything and run a Gus-style playbook, just for some short-term satisfaction? GTFO.

I wish someone would bump all these so called predictions of 6 wins

I said we would beat the OOC cupcakes and SC, lose to Penn State, UGa, LSU and Bama, and split Arky/Ole Kiff/TAMU/MSU. Only got the LSU and SC results backwards.
Pretending Gustav would have won more than 6 games this year if he’d stuck around is a joke. You can’t honestly claim that his decision making skills or his QB whispering abilities are any better than Harsin’s.
