Once Pell City starts winning games a lot of these attitudes will start changing. Everybody will stop complaining about the coaches and his wife's salary and start talking about what a great hire it was and how the school board members are geniuses.

I agree with this. I have run concessions as a band parent for a few years now and they make a gaudy amount of money when high profile standing room only games happen. They use that money to subsidize a good number of activities. So high school football here will never touch Texas levels but winning will still matter.

Pell city should have went all in when they had Etheredge. Better coach and a much better human. Auburn High has a great one now and a lot younger.

They lived in Pelham. It’s wild how consistently you miss on the details like that

Maybe I’m wrong but I thought for sure it was Pell City. Pelham makes sense but what do I know.

Still a horrible example of a human and that’s not including his infidelity

“Rush just threw his headset at his son’s head (helmet) to keep son from getting in fight after late hit by Moody. This guy is putting headset back together. 1:57 2Q Pell City 10, Moody 7. Refs sorting through it. “

Just gonna say what I’ve been saying Amon Lane is not SEC caliber not even sure he is G5 caliber.

Anyway Moody wins 28-24

Pell city kid threw a punch that’s why Rush was reacting. But they only saw Burke respond so he was ejecting in the first half slowing moody down a lot. He’s the best player on moody. Then chase Jackson then Sydney Walton. Somewhere behind the long snapper is Amon Lane.

There appears to be an never ending number of small towns willing to sell their soul for a few years of high school football success.
