I know that punters do not get drafted often, but does the Aussie have a shot at a late round pick?

He’s been a bright spot.

He should get drafted 1st round, God knows he has had enough experience to make Ray Guy jealous of his playing time.

In today's NFL your wallet would probably prefer being an UFA as opposed to a very late round draft pick.

In the past decade, there have been ~ 20 punters drafted with no more than 4 taken in one draft. My guess is to have a shot he would have to end up as a finalist for the Ray Guy Award. I was looking to see if he made the cut as a semifinalist, but even though that list should have come out last week I can't find it anywhere.

If he were drafted, he would be the third Auburn punter, and the first since Brian Shulman was taken in the 8th round of the '89 draft by Green Bay.

Unfortunately, Ray Guy died recently.

I wonder if he was very involved in selection?

We have two other punters on the roster - Marshall Meyers, SO from Opelika and Daniel Perez, FR from Brentwood, TN - neither have seen game action.

Also, Oscar is only a junior, and his freshman year was 2020, so technically he has two more years of eligibility left if he wanted to stay.

I wonder what his kicks look like using the NFL balls? NFL kickers seem to get the ball higher than what you see in college.

Neil O’Donohue was an all American on a Auburn team in the mid 1970s that had a losing record.

Oscar can do it.

Or maybe we upset Bama and win the bowl to go 7-6!
