How about Sal? I don't remember any drops and he made two huge grabs for us.

He whiffed on a ball that was kinda low on an out route. Wasn’t all on him but he could e made the play.

I just wish for once we could send a TE up the middle of the field. My god is it wide open

Sal... had a couple clutch moments but he definitely didn’t have his best game. He dropped one and that one INT was debatably his fault.

Nigh had a catch and Sal had a catch from our TE/HB position. Nothing up the middle, however

Nix had 7 carries for 42 yards rushing as well, but I believe 40 was before halftime. Would’ve liked to see him pull it couple more times in the second half. Probably could’ve eclipsed 70 rushing yards.

Chris Low
@ClowESPN
How good was the
@AuburnFootballdefense after Oregon went up 14-3?

The Ducks had 12 more offensive possessions, and 11 of those ended in a punt, turnover, on downs, end of 1st half or end of game. The turnover led to an Auburn FG and Ducks managed just 13 rush yards in 2nd half.

Just wanna say we gotta give love to Joey Gatewood for his touchdown.

I liked what he showed when he ran. I wonder why they went away from those looks. Seemed like it helped our running game in the 1st half

Yep, definitely nice to see. I just get so sick watching defenses only guard outside the hashes against us. If a TE just did a 10 ya sit down rough up the middle of the field, easy yards all day. Middle of the field is so open it is maddening.

There were some wide open runs if he would have pulled it a few more times.

They’ve done a bad job at recruiting that kind of TE. I hope that’s what Fromm can be in time but we’ll have to wait and see. Nigh did well lining up in the backfield as well as on the end. But he’s not a guy that’s going to scrape a block and get open over the middle.

Wilson is very much a HB/backfield type of guy too. I’m guessing we’ll see more looks for those guys in the next two games against weak opponents. Gus gets very tight butthole in close games

Which is understandable but it’s frustrating knowing so much untapped talent is on the sidelines twiddling their thumbs while the “known entities”, as good as they are, are playing against players that schemed specifically for them.

And he would’ve had or led to more touchdowns if they would’ve put him in on those other redzone possessions.

Jay Jay didn't get here until fall camp. Maybe he just needs a few more weeks to learn the plays. I saw him in or behind the huddles a lot on the sidelines like he "expected" to go in.

So what happened with the Oregon Timeouts? Like Cristobal, I thought if you called a TO, the injured player could come back on next play.

Cristobal didn’t call the game for his team very well at all. He also burned a TO just to try to lure our team offsides.
