Might as well kiss Ryan goodbye. He wants to win and this is not how you show proof of concept.

I swear to God Freeze is perfect fit for Auburn. He does everything in his power to self sabotage a good thing.

There is no “The problem”. There are a lot of them. He just happens to be one of the issues playing the most important position. He has played four complete college football seasons. There is no reason to believe that he is going to somehow greatly improved next year. It’s time to move on. Even if he’s mediocre, why would we want to put our season on a mediocre quarterback.

It's hard to evaluate PT with our receivers, and mid Oline. Play calling socks as well, but that may be also be a function of our lack of offensive options.

But let me rant... I want to be better next year. How is the O Line going to be better? How is the D Line going to be better? How are the safeties going to be better? How is playcalling going to be better? Hugh better hit a series of oline and dline homeruns in the portal or we're going to look like Florida in year 2. And WR coaching has to improve. And whoever is running the offense needs to get clever. Right now we look like a team with a bunch of missing pieces and an offensive coaching staff that thinks they can just sit on their hands until more talent arrives and matures.

I was thinking the same… but I had hoped for a better showing. Looks like I’ll be bitching in the fall about how we should’ve gotten a QB. Ugggghhhh

I think all the 5* coming in at WR will make WR coaching look night and day.

Freeze himself said it

No, he most certainly has not. I invite you to provide a link. What he did say was the same coach speak he said last year, just replace Ashford with PT.

I'm also starting to 2nd guess Thorne as next year's QB. But improved WR play may do wonders for him. I won't die on that hill either way right now. I know we're on a budget and we may benefit from more money spent on the lines.

Its tough being an Auburn fan. Self destruction is apart of our culture and its painful to see every fricking year.

“I haven’t found a guy yet, and No. 1, if you go take one you’re probably going to lose Payton, Holden (Geriner),” Freeze said Saturday. “You better be right! I believe in Payton. I believe in Holden. I believe in Hank (Brown). I believe in the kid we’ve got coming (2024 QB commit Walker White). If I’m wrong, I’m wrong, but that’s my belief.”

Sounds like a ride or die quote from Freeze.

And when Auburn head coach sat down with Thorne “a few weeks ago,” it cemented Thorne’s choice to stay. Freeze was committing to him as his quarterback going into the 2024 season.

We could be FSU, being #5 and down 35-3 to #6 Georgia with time remaining in the first half

At least they have the excuse of missing half their team. We were missing like 4 guys.

Hats off to the guys who opted out. They wanted to go out losers and they succeeded. Losing season with an embarrassing bowl loss. Thanks for opting out seniors!

At the very minimal I’d be on the phone with the New Mexico St qb right now to come in with a chance to win the job

We got the Cal backup (for emergencies), WW coming in, and Hank.

A 3rd year senior starter is damn near imperative.
