So Cam Ward thinks he's NFL ready after Immaculate Reincarnation University and a season at Washington State? Corch could probably start at QB at IRU
2 seasons at Wazzu, but yeah. I mean, he's one pro day showing away from working himself up to a high round draft pick.
If EJ Manuel and Christian Ponder can work their way into the first round, I don't see why Ward couldn't.

2 years at Incarnate Word and 2 years at Wazzu. Is another year somewhere else in a different system going to improve his stock? Maybe. But it could also lower it. He’s probably as ready as he will ever be for the draft.

Jimbo sold the NFL two bags of turds. Three if you include Jamarcus Russell.
Despite that, the NFL still trusted him with Jameis Winston. Crazy how long he’s been getting away with it

Does anyone know if Justin Rogers has eligibility left, and if so is he returning? I’ve tried researching it and can’t find much.

just hope his gamble pays off. Putting lots of play makers around Thorne instead of aiming for a higher QB could backfire if PT can't get them the ball reasonably.
Don’t see how it could backfire tbh. If PT screws it up with all the playmakers around him and every other QB on the roster sucks or isn’t ready then that makes for a very easy sell to a high level transfer QB next year. Upgrading everything around the QB is a stellar move IMO.

That’s not the gamble.
The gamble is not going to get a better QB.
If PT sucks. We suck for another year. Possibly lose recruiting momentum. Possibly lose all the talent we recruited to the portal ala Florida, A&M

Ding ding ding. Teams basically have to re-recruit players every year. If Coleman and Perry come in and average 2 catches per game next year, how long until KJ at UGA is in their ears to join him at UGA?

Exactly. Freeze better take a hard look at Napier right now.

Yall can fearmonger all you want but I saw Payton Thorne play fine w/ decent protection. Auburn has a 10-2 type schedule ahead of us.

When was that? Against 3 win Arkansas?

He did well against State. He was fine the last 5 games when the pass rush was less intense.

Tell me some more about Ohio State wanting Ashford

I will three month ban bet that Thorne throws 23 TDs next year provided he stays healthy or doesn't get benched.
Jville can shut his cock socker or take the bet.

Thats gonna leave a mark 25
I agree Jang. As Corch has preached, great receivers make a heck of a difference. Coleman and Thompson film looks like a young Michael Irvin, just throw them the ball they will take it away from whoever is guarding them. All the hesitation complaints about Thorne go away.
And besides we have Geiner waiting in the wings

I’ll take your bet. I still don’t think he starts, unless Freeze totally strikes out in the portal again and ends up with a back up to the back up plan like PT.

I look at it quite differently.
One, I have a guy who is a second year in the system, do I really want to bring in someone new again and spend half the season trying to figure it out.
Second, you bring in a Ward for what he is asking and you will see a lot of current players call bullshite on their NIL deals. Maybe they arent worth what we offer him, but they will certainly think the floor has been raised on everyone.
I think thats why so many high ranked kids are leaving Georgia. They have the luxury of bringing in high ranked classes every year, we dont. We will be there in a few years and its gonna be a lot more difficult to hang onto everyone rather than the few we had on board this year.
