Exactly. Mystical in nature. Dark smokey rooms where transactions are taking place. Bag-men and boosters with countless money and zero cares whether they are just lighting money on fire for a rag-tag bunch of players on a 6-6 team. I do not think the thrown around numbers make sense right now. NIL is currently another form of internet bravado right now and Auburn needs to get that transparency error fixed pronto. If Auburn is deep into the high dollar bidding for recruits then we should know that. If we are not capable of learning the innerworkings of OTV then they are probably an illegitimate business. But we see the fixtures of OTV advertised everywhere on gameday so apparently the business is alive and well, and by connection to the official university (whether acknowledged or not), OTV should bother itself to be more transparent to what exactly people are donating to. Auburn promotes OTV on Hugh Freeze's freaking microphone. The connection is official and numbers should be had.

More like stacking 5 star bodies on our roster, but I get your point.

I'm excited we have something to rival the Red Elephant in the room. Finally!

I doubt we ever start making player comp public unless it becomes an NCAA requirement or something.

Best thing we could do for OTV is link it more directly to benefits with the school... as in you get equivalent privileges to Tigers Unlimited.

Well they need to show their need and their goal if they are to continue asking for money from supporters.

We do not have to have player specific data.

But a simple audit: this amount of money was donated to this amount of players and so on would do fine. We dont just trust Auburn Officials to take care of our budget, I dont know why we would expect any less transparency from OTV.

Why would we broadcast our winning bid???? Another team could scoop up our players with a better offer in the portal

eta: its the wild wild west right now. Minimum rules, very little oversight and no one with a firm understanding of how to enforce what little rules they have.

We don't have to provide ultra specific data. Strategy, net monies dispensed per athlete, and so on are some criteria that is worth knowing though. I could not care less about paying for players. NIL paying for players just means they are an extension of the coaching staff possibly screwing up the amounts given to the players by disproportionate attention to one position over another (much like how Gus loved recruiting the Nickelbacks but not the OL)

If we provided each athlete 75,000 per year and took care of our athlete's livelihoods, then I don't think we would have to worry about paying for play so much. Anything else is unnecessary and athletes would need to be sponsored by third party NIL, like Bo with Milos.

6,375,000 What boosters have this hanging out?

Funny enough, I work for one of them. And I know the OTV list as a result. I’ll say that you likely have never heard of several of them and additionally, OTV is funded by a group of 30 - 40 individuals. They don’t care for the chump change of $15 per month.

Our coffers are running over with money internet bravado coming from the anon named Rig.

Tell me, anon: what size checks are these people writing and why are they okay with pouring vast amounts of money into such shitty investments. And why are we to believe these 40 gentlemen wont ever get tired of bearing the load of fiscal responsibility of our NIL endeavors with no return on investment in sight?

That is neither here or there. Same people railing against chump change claims we are paying big dough.

These people are for limitless pockets in utopia paying players for play and the mystique of having boatloads of cash and making it rain.

This should absolutely be true. A simple annual report with how much money went to admin and then how much of the rest went to various teams would make sense.

That said, I'm guessing big contributors have plenty of access.

I also think you should be able to direct your money to a particular team.

My understanding is that the cars are leases/loaners and not purchases generally.

Low T, low energy guys like yourself certainly aren't speeding up the conversation. I will just pretend like we are so loaded we had to deal with Harsin for another year on puprose and be done with the conversation. Good day!

Some crootin:

JLee doesn’t know if Auburn takes any RBs. Thinks Eziomume likely sticks with Clemson and that Riley would be the most likely at this point.

On 4* JUCO S Robinson, despite changing his announcement plans, all signs still pointing to Auburn. Just ran into issues with family not being there for the originally scheduled announcement date

I could tell you of one that I know of at another school is being offered to stay next year, and if they are offering this kind of money, so are all of the top programs, and he is not a RB or a QB.

I won't be specific but it is inside of a million.

I hope you know I am enjoying watching you spin your wheels over all this. You have no idea what you are even involved in and it is going to drive you crazy

I have a few words for you to always remember when it comes to this NIL deal and who is getting what. "It is none of your business and it never will be". You sending your lunch money in to the link gives you absolutely nothing. NADA. Zero privilege. And it probably always wil be like that. There are guys writing big checks baw. Big fat ones

It's a blind gift and it always will be. It is grains of sand on a 10 mile long beach. And Im laying on that beach with my shirt off, my man boobs out and my empty beer cans spread all around

Have a great weekend Jang. Dont sweat the small stuff baw. Life is too short
