Got to feel for a kid tanking his future like that lol. I'd still keep an eye on him for a flip. That loss is the type that can cause a team to lose confidence in a coach and a season to go downhill fast.

People were saying similar shite about Norvell after he looked like shite at FSU and then loses via a hailmary to Jacksonville State.

People jawboned that Norvell should be fired on the tarmac. Twitter journalists were raising cows.

Norvell openly questioned if he would get fired. How is Norvell doing now? People questioned Sarkisian at Texas as well.

There are people that questioned Harsin and Taggert as well. It goes both ways.

Ah you are right, I forgot about Sings, still need a couple of guys who could help out asap next fall.

Lindsey from the talk, he will end up strong side or inside, bet he is quite large come next fall and he was 270 in the spring. That one is a very good get. You gotta love a kid whose coach doesnt want him to miss practice......so he sends his mom and dad to big cat

Not taking a knee in that spot is straight up dumb and I don’t fault anyone thinking duck man is dumb for it. That’s a little different, IMO.

Otherwise I agree. Folks get hot takes in year 2 with most coaches. Some deserve it. It was clear Harsin wasn’t working and his year 2 didn’t deserve patience. I’ve said a few times that I want to see what Napier has. Hasn’t don’t anything impressive but the program feels like it’s headed the right direction.

I think duck man will be OK. But to be fair, his criticism has often been because of his coaching decisions and not because of recruiting, development, or roster management

That's true too.

But the theme here is Ny Carr- recruiting, 35-13 at Oregon, and teams dont lose by not kneeling very often

Only here I can I hear a supporter of 7-5 coach say the coach that can recruit better and go 35-13 is horrible

He's lost twice like that now and never kneels at the end of games. Probably not the last time we've seen it from one of his teams unless he finally learns a lesson.

The previous time was nothing like this. The previous time they would have had to punt with 16 seconds left. Why would you kneel just to punt?

Stop lissenin' to twitter outrage.

Not currently very interested in Auburn. I’m sure we will continue to recruit him

There’s a little bit of interest there. He’s keeping it pretty close to the vest.

So that you can punt and not lose in OT.

Being scared to run (there is no offensive play less risk averse)so you can punt instead (a very vulnerable situation)

Makes a lot of sense!

And the assumption that you think punt= OT win is hilarious.

If you can't stop a team from driving the length of the field on you in 16 seconds then you deserve to lose.

yes there is

if Duckman had called it last night with 33 seconds and a 3 point lead they’d be undefeated today

I could write a whole god damned article about this single post here. lol

First: You are moving too fast there buddy. What makes you think you get the punt off. That ball would be a hot ticket with a golden wrapper with 15 seconds left in the game.

There is also the Michigan State- Michigan game where the deep snapper literally snaps it over the punter's head with only 10 seconds left on the clock, allowing Michigan State to win. How the hell do you not remember this?

Secondly, There was the Chiefs driving the field and beating the Bills (one of the best defenses in the NFL last year) with only 13 seconds on the game clock.

Third, there are miracles. We have enjoyed those over the years. Tipped passes, stupid passes, Stupid refs. Prevent, etc. There are so many ways to get screwed.

So yeah, I am okay with duckman toting the rock on 2nd and 2. Just hold onto the ball. That is literally the only issue.

Lastly, if you cannot hold onto the ball with 30 seconds lef in the game then you deserve to lose.
Losing by punts and all of that is just beating around the bush.

The duckman is the CEO of the team. It was the OC that called the plays and the other called run plays last night did not end up fumbled. Trying to attribute fumbles to called run plays does not compute.

Called run plays didnt fumble that ball.

The RB fumbled that ball.

There. Now That makes sense.

Jiro, there is nothing to let go. I am bored with the conversation by now.

I think Jayden Daniels covers a lot of ground when he leaks out and he can pass the ball extremely well, so LSU scores 40. Jayden Daniels is a bad man when he is on top of his game.

We could bring in someone like Kight and pray that he develops like Jayden since they already have the similar stride. This board thought Jayden was dogshit last year. Maybe there is enough development in Kight to be refined and purified by the football Gods as Jayden Daniels 2.0. We can leave that up to His Messenger, Hymnist Freeze, to decide if he is worthy.

Daniels wasnt very good last year, then again neither was Burrow his first year there, but boy did the second year look/looking good. And lets not even discuss how Bama and Georgia's passing games are improving.

I guess we will see this Saturday if we have progressed in the passing game at all, and thats the frustration. If it hasnt then are we stuck with a lackluster Thorne or throw Geriner in there with a touch of Hank Brown for the remainder of the season to see if we have to go to the portal again.....and start all over for next season. Least we will know earlier this time.

Daniels was still pretty good.

He nearly passed for 3,000 yards. 17 TDs 3 Ints with 885 yards rushing and another 11 TDs.

We havent had a stat line like that since....

Jang your examples all work against the argument that what the Miami coach did was pragmatic.

- the Michigan/Michigan St game was a fluke
- the Chiefs game was a future HOF QB and a great offensive squad making some amazing plays in those 13 seconds, that is not even close,to the norm
- the Miami coach even said afterwards it was a bad decision

I do not get why you are trying to defend this.
