That should get better since the high schools combined now. Too many small private schools like PC and HA are taking quite a few kids though. Geneva County, Troy and Elba have been loaded the past 3 years and have had 5 stars.

This is a bit dated I guess, but news to me. I'll see if I can find any more recent stats / info.

All is great! I have been lurking here for years but hardly ever post. I went to AU but not for football LOL. In my class, Sean (Boom) Richardson went to Jacksonville State and was with the Dolphins for a year I believe. A couple of other guys in my class went on to North Alabama to play.

No. I started AU in 87. From our past convos, I think I worked at Sewell with your cousin, but do know quite a few AHS people from that time who I met in college

Sorry, I didn't have a cousin that worked at Sewell (haven't heard that name in a while), but if you had friends from AHS around that time, chances are good they were friends of mine. I'm curious now....

I appreciate that Freeze is staying on Coleman but look at the WR room now, its looks very good without him.

With what remaining NIL money left in the budget Id like to get another OL. We have Carter and Senda (most forget about him but he is a redshirt freshman transfer), we could use another one or two.

And a DL one of Beamon, McCray, Franklin (I know wishful thinking on one of these).

I just feel like we are chasing Coleman like a jilted lover and blowing our budget to get a person in a room that is quite good already, to the detriment of others.

There’s some buzz about 4* RB Kevin Riley again

Senda is already on the roster so you’d more likely consider him in the last class than the current one.

There’s not much out there right now. Gonna need to flip guys

Is he committed somewhere? If not, who leads?

It looks alright right now but we lose Hooks, Shorter, Fairweather and Mardner (not that he’s done anything) after this year. We have Thompson and Cain incoming with maybe Simmons playing WR as well. That leaves Fair, Brown, Kelly, the Johnsons, Moore, and Burton as the lone returners next year barring any transfers from the group. I’m not sure exactly who we are targeting at WR currently other than Coleman, but I’d say we need at least 1 more WR commit.

They never really picked up interest. Not sure why, other than they had guys higher on their board

Would agree. Coleman is nearby so it’s not like we’re expending a ton of energy there. Our class is down to the final few spots anyhow

Ny Carr and I guess Craver are the other options I suppose

Meh... outside of Fair I haven't been overly impressed with the WRs. Hooks and Shorter especially have been underwhelming. I think its very telling that on Hugh Freeze first visit he chose to go stand on the sidelines and watch Cam Coleman.

Carter is taking a trip to Texas, so def something to watch with him too.
