What a load of crap So many variables unaccounted for. He essentially said "this is what they were like last year (completely disregard people leaving) and let's use these variables that carry little weight to project the improvement." Good news is (according to this) if Gus and champ stay long enough we will average 100+ ppg on offense and give up negative ppg on defense.

Horrible use of stats. We have a loss of rushing production, but ignores the fact we keep regenerating rushing production.

Didn't UL lose a few key players to the draft and graduation?

They lost like 80% of their offensive production or something crazy like that.

Also on that same site, they have an entire article (and accompanying fevered commentary) about Carl Lawson's "no comment" comments.

But because Bobby's offense improves year 2 it's all good though. Oh and he has never lost an opener.

Has he ever opened against a ranked opponent?

I'm not really sure I understand the motivation here.

Is Lawson just making sure he doesn't say something inflammatory? Is he making a dig at Louisville? Is he simply taking every precaution to possible to ensure that he doesn't give away something about his team's game plan? Whatever the reason, it was the first really bizarre moment in the buildup to this Sept. 5 game.

Apparently they have never heard the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"

Not one time has he opened up against a highly ranked team or any ranked team for that matter. The best matchup, and I say this loosely, was Miami last year.

IMO, the best team he beat opening weekend was UK in 2006. Miami finished with a losing record last year. UK finished with a winning record (8-5).

Moreover, Miami and 06 UK are the only two bowl eligible teams he's played opening weekend.

UL hasn't even picked a starting QB yet 9 days out but these guys say UL will avg 45+ PPG this year

That is absurd on so many levels

ETA: I read the comment section and realized why this article was written. If you pretend that UL won't be shoving it down our throats, their readers are upset
