I want Kelly, but that would be an awful lot to pay for him. I was thinking 800k-1 mil.

They're just rationalizing like anyone else would in their situation.

No one has really put a definitive statement out there like that. (That I've seen at least)

If he's wrong, we'll know he's wrong. None of that non-committal stuff that all the pay sites have been putting out

Considering the alternative, no. Pay what we can to get him. But that is also going be a lot of money to buyout when we fire the staff wholesale next year

If we pay him (for example) $1.1 million, that still a savings of almost 1/2 a mill over Muschamp.

Probably get more value too.

I'd rather be considered desperate than complacent

Should I be excited about Kelly coming to Auburn? He has bounced around smaller schools a lot and has been at FSU since Pruitt left and has been good. What style of defense does he run? I will assume that Bama and Georgia are running the 3-4 base and both will recruit well, is Kelly more of a base 4-3?

With the way offenses are now no one really runs a true 3-4. I would imagine it will look pretty similar to what we saw this year.

Well his tweet was implied in JG's last update. But if people like it being spelled out that's totally cool.
