Some of y'all act like this is the first time we've ever had an injury before the season started.

Yes, injuries happen, but we have had a pretty unusually high number of injuries this year. Compared to years past.

Ehh... Last year was Jones, Garrett, Ford, Whitaker before the season started. Harrell, Eguea, & Carter all missed time during fall camp. Mason missed the spring with a foot (leg?) injury. Holsey & Denson were lost for the year early on.

Not really.

Kozan and Lawson are the only ones on the 2 deep that are out for any extended period of time as of now. They just happened to be two very good starters, but if we can only lose two guys for the season, or part of the season if Lawson can make it back, that's pretty good.

These articles about Peyton and Roc make them sound like the real deal. Hard to imagine what the running game will be capable of in 2015 with Jovon back there.

Derrick Moncrief says:

quote:

"Yeah, they got us. I think the elements got to the second defense out there. The pace got to them. We just have to find a way to get off the field, because long drives are not good for any defense."

quote:

"Before you tackle him, you never know what he's going to do. He'll juke you or he'll run you over. You've just got to be ready for whatever with Peyton Barber. He's a real special back."

I like this guy. Seems like he gets it.

From Xavier Dampeer

“I feel like Peyton Barber has it all--power and speed. I feel like he’s a big play waiting to happen.”

Probably because coach russell is making them work their arse off. I think Chiz and Yox were on cruise control their last few years.

Anyone know why JHS was changing colors inside the stadium? Looked like one of those neon bar signs

Updates on the new guys from PM:

Nick Ruffin: Only working at Star. Coaches see his future at Star or Safety

Justin Thorton: Banged up missed a lot of time needs to gain weight

Kalvarez Bessent: Has show big time skills in camp.

Stephen Roberts: Has earned some praise, but way behind on depth chart

Dontavius Russel: Future star according to RG. Could play this year but RG wants to redshirt him since we don't need him this year.

Devonte Lambert: Big and Strong will be in the DT rotation

Andrew Williams: Has been impressive at times, but still learning. Not sure if he'll contribute

Dev Lawrence: Coaches want him at DE but he's missed time with injuries.

My wife caught me trying on my Gameday outfit for the '14 season yesterday and just said "really?" I said, "damn right, we're 2 weeks away and I have to make sure my official Gus Bus vest has good juju".

fwiw, the vest plays and seems to have good juju.

Only excusable because it is a Gameday outfit.

From austudent22 in regards to Therezie.

quote:

I have heard he is in an appeal process and it will not be resolved until after school starts. Auburn football, and Auburn Athletics would not comment on something of that nature until it is resolved.
