Stop with the new qb every year

I hope we move away from the QB who has lost their job or on their way down at their current power five school. The last several times we have done this have not ended well Thorne, TJ Finley, Calzada, Ashcroft.
IDK, that Burrow guy and that Hurts dude did pretty well at their new schools. I hear some transfer Nix kid is tearing it up out West, but he almost always plays after my bedtime.
Like all recruiting, it's a crap shoot. We rolled snake eyes this time around.

Hey man Thorne will be here next year as well. Next year he’ll be better!
Yeah! Next year for sure!
/s obviously
How the hell did this dude throw for 3000 yards and 27 TD’s in 2021. I know he had Walker but still.

It is:
- recruiting
-Talent
-Elite QB
-System
Cant satisfy one or two and hope for the best. We had Bo here what was the difference? The talent around him. The competition. His chances of succeeding. Georgia enjoys having the talent that keeps them into ball games. Why cant we? We dont have to be underdogs.

We can bitch about QB play and none have been up to par on the season but with the shite show we have at WR, OL, any offense would suck.
We are 3 years away and some of us have been saying it since the day Freeze was hired. You get top G5 talent is good in a spot or 2 but when you have 15 or so of them you just get out talented. However I have been disappointed in some play calling on the season as well but like I said against Samford if you can’t line up on 3rd and 2 and bully them who are you gonna bully on the schedule.
We can and will improve but 7-5 still looks about right.

What is a ban bet? I’m just curious.
Corch, many of us have also said we needed to see the results on the field, which suck on the offensive side of the ball. Dr. Freeze’s specialty.

The plan was Leary, but he went to Kentucky. Then the Plan was McCall, but he didn't have the credits. Then the plan was the guy from Tulane, but he decided not to transfer. Then the plan was Riley from Duke, but he decided not to transfer.
I think the approach is to again go after the best transfer QB we can and hopefully don’t whiff this time.

That’s why it’s a rebuild. There is no quick fix or band aid for our talent level compared to our major competitors. It takes time and when you have a room with no QBs man it can look bad.
Personally I still feel more comfortable with Thorne but something ain’t clicking somewhere. Not sure how you throw one week absolute perfect passes and then the next you can’t hit the broad side of a barn.

Every time I have seen Geriner in losses he looked just as much shite as the QB that started the game.
He threw 1 good pass today and multiple bad passes. The only QB that moved the offense was Ashford.

Dude…that was not moving.

I agree, it’s just really disappointing to see an offense this inept.

Any QB we get is going to look like trash with an OL that played like ours did today. I feel like we have 6 decent OL but the problem is due to 2 injuries we're dipping down to our 7th man. We really need at least 8 solid OL to make it through a full season in the SEC IMO.
Fix the OL and the QB's will look exponentially better.

We lived through the pain of developing Bo, dude completed 85% of his passes today. frick you Byron Haskins.

Who knows...I am just spit balling if we are so far down the pecking order to no avail maybe we should just instead show some loyalty to what we have. Finley and Ashford could have done what Thorne did today and Thorne only had 90 something passing yards the other game. We can build some goodwill if we show we are trying to develop within even if we are sending out flyers.

Going from inside your own 20 to the red zone isn’t moving the ball? And would’ve been in striking distance if Hooks could catch.

I was just amazed at how dumb the play calling was at time. Or maybe it was just stupid decision making by Thorne. Texas A&M backer shows blitz on the edge. Ball is snapped, Thorne runs straight into him. No check out, or quick throw. Literally just ran into the guys arms.

quote:Yea OLine is basically all transfers too. Injuries are a killer on a thin unit. Pocket was insecure. That said, when we had opportunities, we weren’t throwing good balls. Even the “catchable” stuff wasn’t on the money.
Any QB we get is going to look like trash with an OL that played like ours did today.
quote:Those guys weren’t HF guys. Ashford plays hard but keep in mind we sent Oregon our starter and Ashford was 3 or 4 on their depth chart depending on who you ask. Don’t look up how Finley is doing at TX State.
show some loyalty to what we have. Finley and Ashford
