You can’t compare Freeze to the hiring of Bruce Pearl. Auburn basketball could afford to take a flyer on Pearl because it’s traditionally one of the worst basketball programs in the conference.
Auburn football on the other hand cannot afford the risk and baggage that Freeze brings. If AU were to hire him and he demonstrates that he hasn’t learned from his pst then the program is in major jeopardy.

Freeze is more proven as a head coach than anyone else on the list and at worst is on par with Cristobal in recruiting. I think he should be the guy, but at the very least should be near the top of the list.. doesn't matter though if he isn't being considered.
