I feel like Gus and the phrase "not in a hurry" should never be used in the same sentence.

Sounds too coordinated to me. He's going on recruiting trips, telling prospects big news is coming and will reveal it (as it's been mentioned before) on Saturday. The exposure will be huge.

Muschamp was fired Nov 16th and there's a good chance he knew it was coming so it's not like he hasn't been thinking about his options. And Gus moved very quickly firing EJ. Don't tell me Gus wasn't on the phone with Sexton a few games ago gauging the possibility of Muschamp to Auburn knowing EJ wasn't going to work.

If anything this is Sexton dragging out the announcement to create greater demand for another one of his clients to land the DC position at A&M or maybe even SC.

I agree with this. Gus isn't one to wait around in uncertainty. If he is waiting patiently then I would assume that he already knows the answer

God, I hope its announced Saturday morning, to take the shine off of the SECCG for the second time in three years.

Don't disappoint me, Gus.

anyone see that post on the bunker saying they heard Nick Marshall might play basketball after the bowl game? Is that at all realistic?

Regardless, PLEASE let that be true.

No. He wants to play in the NFL. He will focus on getting ready for the draft and possibly udfa workouts.

If it weren't for his nfl aspirations, given our lack of depth atm, I could see him getting some spot playing time on the court.

One of my friends plays ball in the student act regularly and knows his basketball, and he says Nick and JJ would be two of the better players if they played basketball. Also said Wallace was also pretty good, but Nick and JJ were the real deal.

Hoke has been fired. I am sure Miles is in play for Michigan. I wish we would hurry up and get BOOM's name on the dotted line.

I can't remember if this was the thread or another thread but someone said Jimbo might be in line to take LSU job and the possibility Boom would go bc they're friends. Highly doubt Jimbo goes to LSU in light of all the stuff he's said about SEC recently. LINK

Not saying he might not eventually come to SEC, but I highly doubt it the year after these comments.

Also, FSU historically is just as good as LSU or close to it. And as long as FSU plays in the ACC, he'll continue to dominate there. Why would he want to come to the SEC. FSU will give him the keys to the kingdom (if they haven't already). And the biggest reason to stay at FSU - Winston is gone next year and he won't have to deal with that crap anymore.

ETA: PLUS right now FSU has the #2 Rivals class for next year and LSU is at #17

You honestly think Miles would leave LSU?

Miles has said more than once that he would not be able to say "no" to Michigan.

He's also said "When I wake up in the morning and I turn that film on, it's like reading a book and it's exciting. I don't read books, but if I read books it would be like reading a book."

And, "There was a contact between a football player and a cheerleader, male I might add. That male cheerleader clipped me from the side as I was running full speed or slower than full speed, but generally, in the upper quadrant of speed. And I hit the ground pretty good.”
