All I can do right now is run or ride. Sucks.

Does John L smith coach Chattanooga? I'm up here eating and the game is on and I thought I saw his crazy arse...

Wasn't all that painful honestly. My knee just felt completely unstable afterward. This is the third time it's happened. First on this knee. A few more days of strengthening up the small muscles and I'll be fine. Appreciate the sentiment though

Durkin was Muschamp's DC at Florida.

You're doing better than most then. A recumbent bike is the least stressful thing you can do on your joints if you have any pain.

Look, I'm not saying Clark can't be good. I'm just saying I think Auburn needs a guy who has done it before at a bigger school than UAB. He's never recruited at the level he will need to in order to compete with Saban, Smart, Pruitt, Jimbo Fisher, etc. Also, like someone mentioned before, with how lackluster a hire it would be perception-wise, the assistants probably wouldn't be big name guys either.
He could be like Malzahn and be a great coordinator. But taking that big a chance right now doesn't seem like a good move to me. I'm skeptical

What's going on in here?

Funny you mention Pruitt, considering he came from the AL high school ranks... Clark's resume is more impressive than Pruitts (prior to him taking th FSU DC job).

this is my concern. I'm sure there are plenty of coaches out there that know defense, but can they recruit at a high enough level to have us compete with top tier teams? and yea yea our 4 and 5* guys didn't play great this season on the defense.. doesn't really matter. fact is, we will need talented players to hang with the big boys. saban is a great defensive mind, but you don't see him going after 3* guys often.

And Kirby Smart was coaching fricking running backs as UGA before he went to bama to be DC.
Look, everybody wants a home run hire... but the reality is it's on malzahn. Gotta trust the HC to make a good hire, regardless of resume.

Just my opinion, but when it comes to coordinators, recruiting ability is a distant second to coaching ability.
