That's what I was thinking. Sexton isn't some masterful god, he doesn't have to be - the public perception has already made him out to be this omnipresent hustler. Sells itself.

Updating the OP with this from JGT
-Surprised we have not hired a DC
-Boom talking to Houston but looks like that jobs goes to a tOSU assistant
-Boom likely noe a player
-Chryst looks to be leaving Pitt for Wisky
-Boom's peeps are trying to get him involved at Pitt
-AU DC looks to be fall back for Boom
-not sure now if Gus is willing to wait on Boom or not
-talking to other teams could be a ploy to get more from AU
-Boom looks to be wanting a HC first before being DC at AU
-also per Hoke Bill Clark feels he has a legit shot to be the new AU DC

FWIW I talked to someone very close to the players at the Super 7 who said he thought Gus was going to hire Clark as the DC. I did not ask what he thought or went fishing. I just said I can't wait til we get a new DC. He volunteered the statement on his own. He could have just been pulling my leg so I have not given it much thought or regarded it as truth. Anyway just thought I would share.

I am just happy we will have someone fresh. If we miss out on Will I am sure whomever we get will be an upgrade from this past season.

We had somebody here who was sacrificing goats during one of the game threads. Maybe it is time to start doing that for coaching searches.
