I actually think Arnold should start. He gives us the best chance to win if Ashton sits. We need to beat Mercer first.

I don’t like not playing for the wi, and if we are starting our guys that is what it feels like.

If you can't beat Mercer with Deuce Knight at QB then WTF are you even doing?
He should start so that we can get a live look at him to start building an idea of whether its even worthwhile to keep paying him to come back next season.

He looked terrible. But you may as well use this opportunity with him playing with the starters to see what you actually have. There is no reason to continue paying him whatever he is going to cost to retain if the guy is just a total dud.
Its also a great way to test Durkin. He should be able to beat a team like Mercer with defense and running the football alone given the massive talent discrepancy. If you start Deuce and we barely beat (or worse yet lose) to Mercer, then that ends the whole Durkin as HC nonsense as well.

To be fair all the QBs looked bad under Freeze. I expect and hope he will look good with new OC
