re: McGriff to College Station

Nothing really concrete. Heard rumors about him and Roberts not getting along, but I think there's been a couple of rumors. Who knows whats true or not though.

I'm sure I will lol.

We we're already recruiting high 4 and 5 star DBs and have been sending guys to the league one after the other.. so I expect that to only pick up now since Kelly is so great.

I didn’t think highly of crime as an X&O coach but he recruited well. I think that’s what we have in Kelly now, albeit I’m probably taking crime as a coach over Kelly in the secondary

The only silver lining with Kelly is his recruiting. That’s the only resistance you’re getting unless I’m missing all of the Kelly fanfare here. If you’re talking about fans on the other 7 places you post then I’m not sure what you want us to do about that

Maybe not explicitly using the word upgrade, but people talking about how good of a DB coach he is and how he's a better recruiter sounds like an upgrade to me.

So you said something nice about a coach that A&M just hired and an A&M beat reporter liked it? This is supposed to be confirmation to you? Did you expect their writer to say "no, he sucks"?

Your take here is extremely flimsy. Charles Kelly has won national championships as an on-field coach at two different schools (FSU and Bama) over the past 10 years. He spent 4 seasons on Saban's staff and coached a plethitude of NFL DB's. Let me guess, the players he directly recruited and signed were going there anyway, and the players he coached were elite regardless? This can be said of any position coach at Georgia, Bama, etc. and it's a common excuse that fans tend to make when they want to pretend like their coaches are actually "overrated". You might not buy Kelly's "stock" for whatever vague reason, but why did Saban lol? What, he couldn't hire McGriff to coach Safeties during his REIGN OF DOMINANCE wherein he could basically hand-pick whatever assistants he wanted?

Kelly is a fine hire with a ton of recruiting connections in this state and region, and McGriff was also a pretty good coach/recruiter. McGriff was not some legend by the way; he was hired away from Louisville last season. Before that he was on Florida's 6-win staff that got axed. What elite teams has he been employed by? Ole Miss? The disappointing tail-end years of Gus at Auburn lol? His time at Miami during RANDY SHANNON's tenure as the HC?

What are you even talking about Jones. I have been positive about every single thing Freeze has done, but because I disagree with one thing now I'm butthurt because my opinion isn't celebrated? You are def full of yourself today.

And do I have a history of doing that? I'm having a conversation about the biggest news going on currently. I just happen to disagree with most people.
