What were the rumors again? Verbal abuse and affair? Rumors can easily be coordinated hit jobs. When did he leave for Mexico? Maybe it rubbed people wrong he left for Mexico on NSD?
I don’t know about the timing here but from my view:
Wednesday was NSD…” posters were like: this is weird. No recruiting articles or anything.”
Thursday night 5PM- JGT has a long ominous article called “Fuel meets the Fire”. It detailed how odds against him were stacking up a bit but that Harsin knew the Auburn job was a challenge
Not even an hour later rumors started to surface. Including the rumor from a softball loving rando with 12 posts in 17 years that Harsin was out.
Thursday 10:30 PM- JGT confirms smoke is real but didn’t know why things escalated so fast.
Friday morning I learn here about the affair. That afternoon, verbal abuse allegations. Players start speaking out for or against.
Saturday: Not really racist, but socioeconomic concerns introduced
Today:
- a new ESPN article. JGT details that Harsin suspected he was in hot water before going on the trip but thought his job was stable.

Nice try. ALL of the attacks were coordinated and the f’ing affair was the attention getter and ‘spin’ to start it all. Saying it was some random thing is a f’ing lie of epic proportions. Auburn fans mostly went to school here. We are not that dumb and you shouldn’t insult peoples intelligence

Metafour was saying that the affair rumor was a random discord server rumor. I was just saying that, if it’s really true, then it was just really unlucky that it came out right before the other rumors.
At this point I don’t really care, because it’s obvious he’s not gonna be here either way. I’m guessing he gets a reduced buyout and walks away with no legal proceedings. But I am just curious about how all this went down. It must be insane in the players group messages right now

Whoever made it go down like this in the news. To trash a man’s character you just hired, try to destroy his family and marriage, ruin his football coaching career, just so you can fire him early and not pay 18mil? I don’t recognize this as sane or anyway helpful to AU. It will haunt us for a very long time amd cost us way more than 18mil. I mean, what kind of f’ing morons do this to a school they supposedly love. Maybe our guys behind the curtain are the ones that don’t know ho to read a fan base.

Sociopaths who don’t actually love the school. They just love control, power, and influence. I have no idea if that’s what is going on, but there are plenty of examples throughout history of people fricking over people/things they should love. Just look at any divorce.

Seems we could find the first reference to it somewhere. Hell we still don't know what is fact or fiction in that story not that I believe it but greater men then him has been taken down by a 20 year old hottie. The cause would be if something happened with her being a subordinate. If it was just a woman in the city of Auburn wouldn't be a huge deal but still could fall under some morality clause. Like I said I have no idea what is fact or fiction in that story sounds like it's not true but I'm sure in some way the truth will come out.
