Continues to put the players in situations on both sides of the ball. Don't blame Stidham or any of the team. Gus is a fricking joke.

Easy to blame Gus. Stidham didnt make the plays when they were there. Defense didnt get pressure on the QB. CBs didnt make a play when they had to. Special teams missed a crucial FG.

Gus fricked up trying to HUNH on 3rd and 4th down in the first quarter. I had no issued with him going for it, just take your fricking time Gus. Especially when the middle of your OL is so poor.

Chip started off vanilla and ended vanilla. Should have fed Boobie the entire fourth quarter. The sooner he realizes that, the better.

Pretty impressive how much Schwartz, Shivers, Boobie, Williams, and Asa are involved with the offense. Our offense is young and maturing and will be rocking one day. Glad to see Gus put his trust issues aside.

Other than not kicking for the easy three points in a defensive slugfest, I thought Malzahn did pretty well yesterday.

He made two mistakes yesterday that changed the game by 10-14 points...why wouldn't you blame him?

He puts the team in situations , it’s all his fault? I don’t understand this.

We had our chances. Didn’t take them. It’s on the whole team. We’ll get better

This is the blame I do place on Gus:
1). Football is a man's game. I don't see the toughness in Gus or CL and especially not in JS. We keep belittling Coach O but his players will run thru a wall for him. Gus is low key and so are his teams. Did you see the score of the Bama-Ole Miss game? UGA-SC game?
2). JS is not a big time QB. He doesn't have the playmaking ability of a Baker Mayfield or the ability to scramble and make a great read and throw. Another nice christian boy though. AU has been unable to recruit top QBs for yrs and has not developed them. Cam was a gift. Neither Gus or CL can recruit or develop QBs. It seems that those top guys know that and prefer to go to UGA even though they are loaded.
3). Offense has been our weakness for yrs. Cam made that team go becuz he was not going to lose or fail. Nick worked miracles with his feet. Our offensive lacks schemes, gameplanning, and strong coaches (although there does seem to be concesus that grimes is a good teacher). I have litle confidence in our O coaches and that includes Gus.
4). Recruiting on the O side has been lacking except for WRs. I blame our poor coaching reputation as well as Gus/Chip/Horton. Everyone pays players? I don't think christian Gus allows that. But we know Kirby is bringing Nick's methods to UGA. No way a new former assistant coach steps in and brings in consistent tope rated classes full of 5 stars.

Obviously, this is my opinion based on observations? We are not respected by other schools and Gus is considered a joke. I get tired of people who are so full of O&B that they refuse to see the obvious. LSU scared me when everyone here belittled Coach O, Emmsinger, and Burrows. We are the laughstocks now.

Gus obvious problem is.not being able to evaluate worth a shite at practice. Why did we let Kam Martin occupy the starting spot in fall camp. Boobie is clearly the best RB on the team. Nothing agianst Kim, but Grimes was pretty clear that he lacked the physicality to play in the SEC. This shite almost happens every year. Gus cant get the right players on the field til about game 4. I predict a suffled O line next week and Boobie and Shivers and Martin will get all the carrys. Martin will be on the pine.

He's a very good Qb. His game is nothing like Mayfields, shitty comparison. Stidham is a pocket QB in a RPO system.

Don't worry, y'all will get rid of Stidham next year and Cord Sandburg will be in

I agree. We aren't talking about next year. This year we need our All-SEC caliber QB to play like to win these games. The OL may very well grow and strengthen to aid a less talented QB next season...it may not.

However, what you can't have is a 2nd year starter gifting points to the opponent or taking points for our team off the board.

Stidham made one mistake. That first pick should never have been thrown. The second pick was on the receiver. That was a back shoulder throw and the receiver wasn't even looking. It looked like to me he thought he was just clearing out the DB.

It's a state school in the richest recruiting grounds in the country.

He gave UCF points and took points off our scoreboard in the bowl.

He took points off the board against uga in the SEC title game.

It's a habit.

Concerning the 2nd INT: We all realize nobody will know if the mistake is on the WR or QB, but we do know that you don't throw it if the guy isn't there. That's on Stidham

Malzahn isn't the one who threw that god awful interception. He's not the one who missed that FG. Sure, Gus could have called a better game, but I don't think he really called a bad game either. It's easy to look back in retrospect and say that going for it on 4th instead of going for a FG, but Anders hasn't done much to inspire confidence yet. Other than that there's not really anything glaring or head scratching about Malzahns calls yesterday.

The players have to execute or it doesn't matter what plays Malzahn calls.

Also you have to give credit to LSU for executing well and making clutch plays.

You can't put this one 100% on Gus. Honestly this might be the single least melt-worthy loss of his whole tenure so far.

I have seen this brought up a lot. It was a 52 yarder that started with a bad snap and ended with the kicker kicking the laces.

Gus IS the one who passsed up on a short FG when we finally had our first drive of the game and we were down 7-0.

Read Auburn 247 article on what national media is saying. "Media Puzzled by Malzhan Losing to Orgeron Again".

"...a disgrace." "...such a high school coach."

Instead of bashing me, remove your O&B glasses.

Same shite different year. Now we will probly win every game up to Georgia, getting our hopes up only to get throttled in Athens and Tuscaloosa by 30 each and then fall to a decent bowl and get beaten by Wisconsin. Classic gus.

I agree with you but I think the general consensus has changed with Gus. As I was walking out the game yesterday I talked to a long Auburn supporter and he was upset about Gus. He said Gus does just enough to keep his job and that's it. Our offense plays like Gus and that's soft. Yes we can lay the wood to Alabama State but LSU layed it on us. I mentioned to the guy sitting next to me that if you just look at the game stats no way we should be winning this game. Burrow had all day to throw the ball and we don't have any pass rush to help out. It's going to be a long season.
