Lightning threats and delays

There has been a lot of research into trigging lightening to specific points which would seem to offer some added defense for stadiums. One method was developed to study strikes in a predictable way that uses a small rocket to take a wire into a storm cloud. It triggers a strike that vaporizes the small wire that creates a channel for lightning to follow.
