If we had a legitimate RPO/ Dual threat QB that makes defenses hesitate and unsure when to commit ala Cam/Marshall you would see how much better our oline would look, The original GusBus offense that he refuses to run anymore.

I hope he goes back to that, but honestly, I do not think we could have done that with Stidham.

Sure we could have, just have to make some minor tweaks which we largely didn't do. If the QB isn't a huge threat running the ball, you still need to give the defense a threat of him pulling the ball and doing something with it if they bight. We did some of that in the 2017 IB and UGA game where we would have Ryan Davis slip under the DE that crashed on running plays and Stidham would pull it and dump it to him.

Problem is we wouldn't do stuff like that consistently. Doesn't have to be a big play action play, but a true play action RPO. We don't use the middle of the field much, so that does make it more difficult.
