I'm in my late 40's and retired. I own an ambulance I had converted into a camper van. An idiot? I read four books this past week. I have Rand Paul's cell phone number. I drink spinach smoothies and eat red meat. My resting heart rate is 52 (John Stockton's was 29 BTW).
You really are a fricking idiot.
Look, there's a bunch of negative nancies on this site who can't bother themselves with breaking down Auburn game film. It's not that hard. The average college assistant coach has an 80 IQ. Some can barely drive a car, Rodney Garner. But there are people like metafore who like to dilly-dally in soap operas and not look at what exists on film. I agree will Bill Parcells, who said "You are what your record says you are." Auburn sucked last year, but was close to not sucking. But AU was 5-5-1 before Terry Bowden's inaugural season. Its happening, Nancy-boys. Amazin' season. You'll be worried about Harsin being poached by the NY Jets in two years. Our OL is going maul people, and we'll be running a bunch of 3 TE sets.

Hey! I'm drunk posting as usual.
Love everyone - old / new / old / new Jang, Meta brings hard to dispute facts and info, but I can't be that nega Barner. Never. I may be living in Neverland, but I refuse to believe that AU will never field a competitive team with heart, in all sports. Games of inches, and 20/20 hindsight is just that.
I am a nobody, but I grew up in Auburn and finally graduated from AU, did two years of Army ROTC scholarship and have many stories. Care / interest or not, it depends on you. Let it be known that HVR has NOTHING on me. I am Auburn through and through.
Come on guys. As OP said, the best, most logical choice is to get behind and support CBH and AT LEAST, the team he fields this year. Call it Auburn guts feeling or whatever you like, AU is going to make noise and frick up some people this year. Bookmark this if you like. I know Auburn. I will bet everything I own that we DO NOT GO 4-8 as certain talking heads predict. frick recruiting, for now. It is a never ending Catch 22. Let's put that aside for now and look forward to the team CBH fields this year. Bitch and bitch and be bitches as you like, but my gut says that many of you (bitches) will experience a change of attitude as the season unfolds. Anyone with more than 52 years of AU football, please put me in my place. Let it be (happen to be listening to a good mix of music, and Paul says "Let it be" and "whisper words of wisdom". Let it be. LFG and WDMFE!!

Harsin's chances at Auburn went out the window when the Boosters destroyed him in January.
We're dead last in recruiting in the SEC 5 months out from signing day. Things aren't looking good.

We were in the same spot last season. Seems to be a pattern. We wouldn’t have a program if it wasn’t for the PTB or the board. If you want your opinions to count as much as Harbert’s family or Raine’s then donate about 100m and then donate to each cause whether sport or academic related when called upon.
Blaming fans and lack of support from Auburn or the PTB is an excuse for crappy coaching and just plain getting that arse kicked in recruiting.

As you said, no, they are not at the moment, but also as you said....5 months out from signing day. Let's fricking whoop some PSU and LSU arse and re-evaluate then. Recruits will, no doubt. I believe in CBH and THIS YEAR'S team. I believe we can somehow pull 9-10 wins, and if so, and if AU's NIL shite gets its shite together, everything is on the table. For frick's sake, enjoy AU football while / when you can and don't take it for granted. I do, at absurd hours, happily, day in and day out, year in and year out. In, out, in, out. Sorry, I finally beat techie stuff for today and am a little proud of myself.
We will compete, and we will win. I will eat triple helpings of crow if we don't.
Working on uploading a better Avi. Wish me luck with all things tech and happy War Eagle Day, every day, to each and every one of you. No one knows what tomorrow will bring.
ETA the Auburn Family may be spread much wider than you think. I try to do my part. War Eagle.
ETA 2 - Wear your AU gear with pride. True story - a few years ago I went to a local ramen shop for a 6$ bowl of ramen that beats the shite out of any ramen you have ever had. I was wearing one of my beat up AU caps as always sitting at the counter. After a few minutes, the Japanese businessman in his suit sitting next me to me looked at me and said "Go Ducks." I gave him a "War Eagle". Turns out he attended Duck U for a few years and watched us beat their arse in 2010. He said he watched the game on his iPhone under his desk at work in his office that day. No cubicles here - everyone and everything is out in the open in offices here. We talked football for 30 minutes as we ate, and exchanged "War Eagles" and "Go Ducks". That bowl of ramen was as good as ramen gets, and even decent ramen is very, very good. War Eagle.
ETA 3 - In my experience, if you can not or choose to not get behind and support all things AU (the good and bad, sickness and health, till death do us part), and choose to not have a good War Eagle Day most every day, you are literally a pussy. Pls see new sig pic. WDE.
ETA 4 - I drink daily from the absolute best stadium cup ever. Made in Lawrence, Kansas or Reno, Nevada by Packer Plastics. 'MERICA! It says so on the cup. I reckon it is about 40 years old and still going strong. WDE. Let's get behind Harsin and AU.
ETA 5 - A wife and mother of three and 15 years my junior (aka "Hickey Chick") and I did a small photo shoot for fun one day and to show that we are "behind" and supporting Auburn. I have other pix that better show our AU Spirit, but I reckon I may be pushing the envelope, so to speak, but I don't think I have broken any rules (yet). War Damn Mother fricking Eagle. Harry will never come close to matching this Freeman. Book it and LFG.
ETA 6 - Jimyyjimjim something must be old as dirt;-). Welcome home / welcome back. Love it and I am half bent already drinking from the best stadium cup evar. Let's hear more stories. I reckon you have Freep. Lanier and I beat as to the oldest poster here by a mile, so give us your story and perspective. Cheers everyone and downvote away.
ETA 7 - Japan remains a very fun and interesting place full of AUsome people. I won't beg any of you to come, but will always open my home to you and yours and strongly suggest you come visit. I would not still be here if not for some really AUsome people. Come experience Japan for yourself while you can...while I am still here and kicking. I'm going to take my awesome dog down to the river (10 minutes) to play in the water, watch the sun set, watch the birds, and enjoy today. I hope you all do something similar as well. WDE.
ETA 8 - I have been around long enough to know what tRant can do with personal information, and this is for them
ETA 9 - sorry, not sorry if this is the longest post in the history of this AU board.

Some facts we have to face
1. If recruiting is the lifeblood of a program, NIL $ is now the lifeblood of recruiting. Our money folks have failed miserably in this regard.
2. Harsin is the best this program will do. At least on paper. No great established HC is coming here with the shitshow we have going on behind the scenes.
If you think this program is decline now, wait until we fire Harsin. The Harsin witch hunt has made this program toxic to potential coaches and recruits. The best solution is Harsin succeeding on the field. Anything else, and we're heading to Tennessee and FSU land.

Bipolar new / old / new /old jang. Never change bro.
ETA Asian pussy also runs north-south. We don't (yet) have Sonics, but let's bust knuckles at the closest Yoshinoya if you want. It's close.

We can land Freeze or Deion if we want to. The Tennessee or FSU fearmongering is getting old.

We don’t need a great and established head coach if he believes Harsin fits that label. The program needs energy, fan support, and touchdowns in a desperate way.
We are 5-7 and even the Harsin defenders think Harsin has been poison pilled. Deion and Freeze are high reward gambles that cant be much worse than what we got going on now.
I just read an article about Deion which was featured on Sports a Illustrated and I’m all in. Giddy up.

Harry baw, Harry.
Okay, just saw the photo you responded to.
Never mind, Hunter works in this case. His crack pipe should be close by.

Neither have proven a damn thing as HCs. Both are capable of nuking a program to oblivion if given the opportunity.
If you're hell bent on replacing Harsin, you got to do what Bama did in 2007: hire the best guy you can get and GTFO of the way.
Since our PTB seem incapable of learning from their past mistakes, it really doesn't matter whether we fire Harsin or not. We will never, ever be competitive with the Bamas and UGas (or even the LSUs and TAMUs) again. Might as well accept it.
