That will be really tough for us in the middle. It takes a big strong MLB to man that area and we don't have anyone that strong in the middle except for freshmen, I think

Not to mention he's one of our play callers on D. Britt and Monday.

Honestly I think Sherwood is more of our playcaller in the secondary. But that’s beside the point. Pappoe or one of the other guys is going to have to fill that role now and in a big way.

KJ is the leader of the defense. Emotionally and physically. Huge shoes to fill for however we handle him not being out there. Britt is not the type of player to opt out or not play if he is healthy enough to play. He's the heart and soul of this years team. He is the leader.

I think someone asked earlier about draft. I think he's a 3-5 rounder. His height, lack of pure speed, and lack of pass coverage skills will hold him back from going any higher unless he just has an amazing combine or pro day. He still will be a good fit for a 3-4 defense MLB and special teams player so I could see him hanging around 7/8 years in he league.

If Josh Bynes can survive all these years as a FA, with no great speed but just a knack for the ball, then Britt can too.
