Yes he would be but I wouldn't give up on scoot KD has pushed his decision back until Wednesday that's the day i figure Scoot will tell Auburn his final decision. If you look at Scoots IG his trainer posted an eagle in the countdown story that Scoot posted. I think theres a few people in Scoots circle pushing him to AU.

I am kind of with you Jang. KD already has a year of SEC play under his belt and we would at least have a chance of him playing multiple years with us. I worry that if we push him away too long that he may just commit elsewhere

I watched Johnson, and he is a bulldog on the court. Aggressive, and others have said he can take over a game, which you want in your stronger active players.

And as you said with his multiple years of play available, I think that is what PEarl needs to solidify his team.

I think Pearl's teams aren't going to be as good when there is so much replacement year after year, with 1 and dones, transfers, and Gleague vs Auburn losses. He needs a couple of years of key star players mixed with players that know his system to keep us at the very top.

I don't want to lose Johnson. He can only get better after his freshman year...when he still averaged double figure scoring.

"Vetting purposes" sounds like possibly not wanting to ruffle Greene, Jasper, or Sills feathers.

KD Will commit today.

Lee said last night if he commits today he expects Auburn to be the pick

Pearl pretty much said we will be done when he said we have 6 players returning and 6 entering.
That means no Thor as well.

I guess it depends on whether PEarl was willing to take KD AND Scoot. If he was willing to fill up to 13 then he didn't care to hold a scholarship as part of a future self imposed reduction.

I think he just didn't see any other high level guard he could find to bring in other than Scoot. And he is comfortable with his front court guys numbers.
