I was at Auburn when he played for us. Very solid pitcher. Enjoyed following his career.
He was an icon in the community of Auburn.
Interesting note is that even though he played in a high school championship and a college World Series, he never won one.
But in MLB he won 2 World Series and after his career ended he won a Dixie Youth championship coaching a team.
