I had hope when he was a HS senior. I believe he broke a record in his class or something. I haven’t heard anything about him either.

yes he broke the state record. I think Var finished 2 yards behind him at the end of the season.

T-Zach!!! Some of those TDs he caught in 09 and 2010 were things of beauty!

In my opinion T-Zach was the hardest to tackle WR we have ever had in my years of watching AU football.

He should have never gotten as big as he did. Should have never been more than 210 or so at the most. Once he got over 220, he had absolutely no burst.

he was always limited from an athletic standpoint.

JJ Evans was nearly a top 150 recruit and a composite 4* WR.

People that pay attention to recruiting know who he is

There was another guy out of Homewood HS that Tubs signed that fits this description as well. I think both Tubs and Shula wanted him, and he had a bunch of other big time offers. Never did much at AU, but I don't recall his name.

I just looked it up: Tim Hawthorne. #97 nationally and 0.9466. He transferred to North Alabama.
