I agree. The guy is a buffoon who was just promoted internally. Whenever he speaks he sounds like a dumb hick, and I'm tired having him representing the university.
Tuberville and David Marsh both went to the board to protest the promotion of Jacobs because both knew he was an incompetent dumb arse. frick, I say bring back David Marsh and make him the AD and bring him on as the swimming and diving coach again. The man is smart and knows what it takes to be successful in sports.

Gus has lost it. Started early last year. Auburn is now on a 1-6 run against FBS schools.

We generate a lot of money in the AD, but are we spending it properly? Lots of folks getting government jobs in tigers unlimited and the AD.
Gus was a mistake, but he needs this year and next year. Buyouts are part of modern day sports. Bret has a 15 million dollar buyout. Gus looked like a solid investment until a year ago.

In light of the Galloway news, I'm bumping this.
Bruce Pearl is recruiting lights out rn, but if things go left with Gus this season, I hope we go ahead and give Jacobs the boot first.
Gus will then have 2016 maybe 2017 to get things together under the new guy.
