Seeing a bunch of talk and complaining on twitter about bruce not having enough nil money. I would donate some if i 100% knew it was going to mens basketball and not that pos sorry football coach we have.

Freeze's mediocrity is hurting Bruce.

You can choose to have it go directly to one sport if you want. That’s what I did a while back.

I asked the same to OTV. What I didn't like is there's really no transparency or accounting offered to the average donor. No idea if my drop in the bucket donation, went to the correct bucket or a to a bucket at all. Felt like I was just throwing money to them and getting some emails with AU OTV swag available for purchase.

If they showed expected expenditures, cash on hand, target donations for each sport, I'd be more inclined to sign up again.

Is a tough spot for OTV because this level of transparency is needed, but it also puts you at a competitive disadvantage by disclosing this information.

So this is what I know about OTV.

The monthly donations from normal folks are just to cover operating costs, basically. Paying the staff, overhead, etc.

The big money people are the ones that get players. They decide where the money goes and for what program, but their money comes with strings, they want access to practice, to talking with coaches, etc.

From what I know most of the big money folks care way more about football because freeze strokes their ego, allows them to come to practices, scrimmages, and stuff like that.

Bruce has a bit of an issue with the “strings” that come from the big money. So they get less money. It’s not all on Bruce, but I think the money would come if he’d allow a little more access.

As far as I know each program has a base percentage of OTV funds, but each program gets “individual donations” to it. Football just gets way more of those than the other sports.

Last I heard there were only 1200 people that are signed up to donate monthly, but that was around a year ago.

Imagine Auburn donors wanting strings attached to their money. I know it’s not just us, but we have a long history of it.

Bro. We want stipulations to donating to NIL too. Donors are human and smart enough to not invest into Harsin.

I"m an Auburn fan and graduate as is my wife. I can't imagine a scenario where I'd give money to pay "amature" athletes to play a sport. I know this is our current reality - but besides my own selfish wants and needs - there are some charities that could be a much better use of money. To each his own, but damn - think about that for a minute.
