Mims to UGA would suck because they just got Brod Jones too (without Pittman now), not because it would be a major upset. We weren’t in great position for either of these guys

KN and Caldwell are touring 15 schools in three days. I’m sure there will be lot of good info to pass on.

To start it off:
They made their way to Dylan Brooks’ school, Handley, this morning.

Brooks grew up an Auburn fan and is cousins with Jeris McIntyre, but he didn’t attend his first Auburn game until 2018. We were also his first SEC offer. His HS coach said one area of improvement is gaining weight. Says he’s only 215 right now. Another is improving overall strength.

They also went to Oxford today. Oxford has a 2021 3* athlete by the name of Roc Taylor that has seen his recruitment take off recently. Florida was his latest of 15 offers. He is 6’3 and has put up some ridiculous numbers at WR. Auburn has yet to offer but he speaks to Caddy frequently. Taylor said he grew up an Auburn fan, and an offer would probably vault us to the lead.

Oxford apparently has a stud 2022 CB in Trequon Fegans as well. He’s a 6’1 playmaker on the defensive side that has already received offers from Tennessee, Moo State, and Florida. We want him to visit in the spring.

Last note on Oxford- Caddy is the lead recruiter of this area; an area where he’s still pretty much a legend.

More to come

Hewitt Trussville:
Armoni Goodwin is in month 5 of his ACL rehab and he says he’s at about 75% right now.
He was concerned about his spot on the team at Auburn, and his speed after the injury, but Caddilac assured him his spot was locked in and that his speed will come back. He’s 100 percent committed.

- Omari Kelly is another name to watch from Hewitt Trussville. 2022 receiver/ athlete that KN is hearing we are getting close to offering. He claims 5 offers so far.

Not related to your post but Bruce Feldman went through the 2013 QB class on The Athletic. So I got curious and went through 2011-2017.

Yikes. The QB rankings are pretty bad overall. We talk about OL as being tough to gauge but the QBs might take the cake

Kelly can absolutely fly to just be a sophomore. Has always been a running back so just now developing his WR skills but has 2 more years. Kelly may have a big name in the 2022 class but don’t sleep on Justice Finkley from HT as well. He was a line backer and extremely quick but moved to nose tackle because Eric Taylor couldn’t handle inside double teams. Anyway Finkley will be a SDE in college I expect him to fill out over the next 2 years up to about 6’3” 265ish and still cat quick and strong.

LSU also offered Finkley as a freshman linebacker that was playing on the JV team.

To finish off their trip yesterday they went to Albertville to see 6’7 256 pound TE Trinity Bell.

Bell claims Auburn and Tennessee have both told him he could play football and basketball, and that’s why they’re co- leaders at the moment. Bell also said a Tide offer was probably coming, though Saban won’t let him play both sports. Reading KN’s comments later on, KN says he has excellent athleticism and frame to support playing OT, but he doesn’t know yet how much Chad Morris is prioritizing him at TE. We have offered 3 TEs in Colorado after all.

247 has him as a DE. I wonder if we are recruiting him on D?

I’m more impressed with Bell on the DL then I am at TE. Good tight end but not sure he’s SEC level tight end. Unless he bulks up and is purely a hand on the ground guy

Pittman was going to be a huge loss but they replaced him with a homerun in Luke. Does not matter they still won't win shite

Update: He tried to commit over the weekend, but Gus wouldn’t take it. He wanted to go ahead and commit, shut down his recruitment and focus on his senior year.

It’s time to rally the mob against Gus.

For those wondering he's talking about Ian Jackson, high 3* LB from Prattville.

Day 2 KN and Caldwell recruiting road trip:

Gardendale:

Will Crowder:
Friends call him goose because of his love for airplanes and fighter jets. Also has a friend in Auburn’s aviation dept. KN wouldn’t be surprised if he went to Auburn, he’d choose a career in aviation or something.

Crowder says he loves our staff and would be ecstatic if Auburn offers. Says he has a great relationship with Morris. However he said despite his great relationship with our staff, and how much he likes Auburn, he won’t wait forever for an offer. He’d like to commit before the season started. Kentucky and West Virginia are schools that stand out right now. Missouri and USCe could be next to offer as well. We will see how this goes.

Kelby Collins
He is just a freshman this year, but already one of the best DEs in the state. Auburn has already offered the 15 year old phenom.

Ramsay High:
Tim Keenan iii:
Tim is a 6’2 340 pound 4* DT that has a ton of offers including Auburn, but he says we don’t talk to him a whole lot. He said he’s disappointed that we don’t since he’s in state.

What doesn’t make sense is he says Bama, LSU, and Georgia are recruiting him the hardest.
KN later says his sister is a Bama grad fwiw.

Keenan’s 2021 teammate, Jeremiah Williams:
Jeremiah is a 6’4 222 pass rusher that has up to 33 offers from some of the best schools in the country. He also says he grew up liking Auburn. He wants to see Auburn and a slew of other schools in the spring. He also really likes CRG.

Why doesn't that make sense? He sounds like a great fit size wise to be a Nose Guard in a 3 man front, which is the base D's Bama & UGA prefer to run.

Because that’s the same bullshite I heard with Payne. Just recruit the player hard anyway and use him if we have to adjust formations.

To be seen if Keenan can commit to the schools he says are recruiting him hardest.

6’1.5 and 340 doesn’t excite me very much. Guessing Garner may want to be more selective with a 5* DT already locked up early
