Should be a good first test of his insider knowledge. Not vague and certainly doesn’t look likely on paper

Getting Roberts would be nice but we really need an elite tackle in this class. At some point UGA can't keep getting every freaking lineman can they?

You’d think we would be in better shape with Mims or Fairchild given both want to play early and UGA’s OL depth is unbelievably stacked (and honestly, underperforming).
But UGA’s pull on these guys is relentless

This is why the “Gus controlling OL recruitment before Morris” narrative is bogus and tired. We’ve got a borderline 4* in Johnson who I think is underrated by a mile (not to mention, was identified before Morris). Plus two middle of the road 3* guys with some upside potential.
Are we really looking at those guys and claiming that a fundamental shift in the approach to OL recruiting has occurred? Give me a break. Our expectations are in the gutter because we have failed to attract elite talent to the position group for years. We’ve struggled to attract elite talent because the OL has played like shite in a scheme that’s not exciting to play in. It’s the damn guy’s offense
I hope our fortune changes with Morris. If it does it’s going to be because the scheme changes with the offense. It will be because Bicknell lives and recruits in the modern world and doesn’t speak in 1800s cowboy jargon. Not because of an elaborate theory about Gus micromanaging a position group’s recruitment

Jones bringing the heat.
Been saying it for years. Grimes was great at taking a shitty lineman and making him mediocre. The problem was he couldn't relate to the recruits and it's not all about his age it just that good ol' boy in him. I don't know enough about Bick to know what he will do with the line but to be a good consistent offense your line has to hold up on pass pro and be able to move the LOS on run plays. Our pass pro was B- last year but our push on the LOS was around a D. Granted that is against most teams in the SEC that have 4 star DL across the board. The only issue I have ever had with Gus' offense is the lack of attack in the very short middle and intermediate middle. With the addition of TE's we are adding hopefully that is being addressed.
I also don't think OL is our worst position group. For me it's by far WRs. Kodi has done just enough to pull in some ok talent, not near enough talent for a top 15 team. And it appears he isn't very good at developing that talent either. I love Kodi and he probably has a very bright future as a coach but maybe he should go somewhere he can be an OC at a small school and learn more. As I've said before our best WR last year grew up in Tuscaloosa and didn't even have a commitable offer from bama.

Y’all have yawls opinions. I’ll trust the info that insiders and Keith have all said and I just won’t bring it up anymore. Either way it’s probably beating a dead horse anyway.. Back to current recruiting matters I hope we can pull off a shocker on UGA and land Mondon.

I don’t want to get too far off recruiting but the whole offense is linked. WRs run simple, stupid routes because the OL can’t give the QB even 3 seconds. Routes can’t develop because our offense can’t survive sacks. It was barely running without them
Talent is there. I’m holding off judgment on Kodi’s ability to coach until WRs actually have time to do anything but run straight and hope the defense missed an assignment between the eye candy

Picture of Roberts at around 340 pounds last summer. He has a nice athletic build despite being so heavy.

He’ll need to get the weight down but he won’t need a complete makeover when he steps on campus.

I’m starting to feel better about the OL. Quality isn’t great but the quantity is there to hit and miss as normal.

Man these recruits look older and older these days - I mean look at that kid on the right. Looks like he's carrying some bad weight in tittays as well.

Some Texas bodies to the left and right.
No doubt about it

Landen King, 3* TE, decommits from Texas.
Our QB commit has been helping pursue him
We might be trending here.

Speaking of TE's.. I was just looking at film of Terrance Ferguson, and while I would be happy with any of these TE's, he's the guy I want more than the rest. We made his top 5, but Tenn just took their 2nd TE with Trinity Bell so its more of a 4 way race for him and he wants to commit by mid July.

I’m not sure they like Bell at TE, FWIW. They may still be in the market.
I do agree with you. I think Ferguson is on top of my list

Sounds like he reached out to Auburn. A Texas 247 guy (Mike Roach) says King and Davis played ball together as kids. He’s now gone ahead and CB’d him to Auburn
King has offers from about everyone. Bama, UGA, A&M, Oregon, Penn State, so on.
KN saying this isn’t a done deal. Auburn is still trying to figure out who their top guy is

Fall stats:
53 receptions, 853 yards, 9 TDs.
They line him up all over the place. Out wide, slot, end with his hand in the dirt, and HB. Looks like he enjoys run blocking too. Demolished a few kids on tape

Grad transfer. Pretty cool. Hopefully that brings Cam around some more
