It’s questionable how in the hell he was swayed that much when no visits are allowed.

That's why I think there is still a chance for a switch. I believe KN said Auburn will still get him down for a visit before the early signing period(COVID-19 permitting). I agree, its far from over.

But some of these guys definitely want to leave their home state. It happens to may of these high level recruits.

With school activities basically shut down until June 30th we will have to figure out how to make up momentum on the fly. That includes filling the possible void of not having our money maker, Big Cat. Personally, I don’t think it’s fair the NCAA is allowing recruiting at all. I have no doubt that coaches needing the upper on the hand are skirting around the rules right now.

From 247:

the breakdown of D1 scholarship signees:

0.6%: 5-star
6%: 4-star
37%: 3-star
35%: 2-star
21%: Unrated

Star ratings as it pertains to the 1st round of draft:

5-star: 6
4-star: 15
3-star: 10
2-star: 0
Unrated: 1

Percentage chances of becoming a first rounder based on star rating via the 2020 draft:
5-star: 1 in 5
4-star: 1 in 21
3-star: 1 in 184
2-star: 0 in 1755 (none drafted)
Unrated: 1 in 1061

There's really no way they could stop the virtual visits, texts, & social media DMs even if they wanted to. Even if the NCAA was good at their job they don't have the manpower to police that.

They only rule they could break right now is in person visits & those are harder to get away with.

Not sure where these #s came from but simple math using the composite has at least the 5 & 4*s a bit off.

5* - 31 out of a total 3991 recruits listed on the composite in the class is 0.77% or round up to 0.8%
4* - 339/3981 is 8.5% or round up to 9%.

Still that combined with the rest of the post proves stars matter.

Because it's a lot easier for other people to see people in person together, especially since most people aren't taking social distancing seriously.

Matt Luke looks like a great hire for GA. not good for us.

It looks like he is going to beat Bicknell head to head. Luke ofc had a footprint already in the south with his OM job and being from Miss. Bicknell is pretty new to the south.

He’s also a north Georgia kid. Hour away from Athens. Those will always be tough. I do agree that Luke was a great hire

KN thinks if it’s a commitment announcement it will probably be Baylor.

He says we are going harder after Davis and Salter.
