Is Fairchild a guard all the way or any chance he can play tackle? Also, are we still high on his list or have we lost ground there too?

Difficult to know considering the circumstances but he visited right before the last dead period began and immediately after it ended. That’s about as strong as a signal as you will find these days. Last I read on 247 was that Auburn was a presumed leader.

As far as OG/OT, it looks like Auburn wants him at OT. KN mentions him as an OT in his updates

Keith posted a few days ago that all 4 of Fairchild, Gooch, Garner Langlo, & Caleb Johnson all could play OT or OG in his opinion FWIW.

Also not sure if we have lost ground but we are still high on his list.

Not sure that's still the case. SC, Vols, & UGA have made things interesting with him per Keith.

Another high school OT to keep an eye on is 3* Rod Orr from Gadsden

He has received several dozen offers in the last month. Oregon, Minnesota, Ole Miss, MSU, and so on. Says Auburn is his favorite school.

Auburn is ramping up the recruitment on 4* ‘22 QB MJ Morris.

He’s been visiting Auburn since he was 8 and it sounds like his mom went there. He’s currently the #2 dual threat QB in that class. Sounds like Chad Morris talked to his mom the last they spoke

Thats a pretty nice offer list. If Fleck and Cristobal want him we should offer!

I tend to agree.

KN suggested that Auburn takes 3 OTs and 2 OGs. Those numbers may be fluid. I’m sure they’d take 4 OTs if they were the right ones.

5* OT Amarius Mims
4* OT Caleb Johnson
4* OT Dylan Fairchild
3* OT Matthew Wykoff
3* OT Garner Langlo
3* OT Rod Orr
4* OG Terrance Ferguson

Can’t rule out Savion Byrd or the Brockermeyer twins yet but they’re long shots. Orr and Langlo depend on what happens to the top 3 realistic targets in Mims, Johnson, and Fairchild. And, as tends to happen, more targets will come into the picture as the year unfolds.

He went from unranked to the #2 OG in the 247 rankings within several months

Keith replied in Fong’s thread saying it’s not a done deal and that auburn was going to be patient with its CB recruiting

Sounds like one of those kids we see each year that wants in but Auburn doesn’t accept as a commitment.

Baylor 247 guy talked to Kyron Drones after Baylor offered. His bet is that Auburn is the leader

3* dual threat QB. His stats from last season are nearly unbelievable. We offered him and Salter around the same time. His team went undefeated last season and won the 5A title. Really put Drones on the map

And was his 1st year playing QB per Keith.

I'd be happy with either Drones or Salter. Drones looks a bit more comfortable in the pocket. Salter has a bit of NIX in him in the fact that he moves around a lot.

What's the latest buzz at RB

4* (#6) Goodwin is on board and that looks secure.

Looks like 4* (#9) Cody Brown is an Auburn/Tenn battle. Gus is heavily involved in this recruitment. KN says Auburn is in good shape there but it’s not a lock

I'd be surprised if we could pull both Brown and Goodwin, assuming there is football this fall and Williams, MAR, and Tank all share the load.

That's 5 highly rated backs in three classes, crowded backfield.

Tennessee’s depth chart is more favorable.
