Yeah. Your title welcomed football’s return this weekend. Then you open this SOB and the first post (that he replied to) says:

spent 4 days in San Diego on a work trip, where i ate and drank excessively
got home last Friday at 130 AM, got a little sleep then loaded the fam in the car and drove to Richmond VA for a celebration of life service
stayed thru Wed morning then drove 13 hrs back, got home at 330 am
took a day to recover, grilled some choice steaks and drank some red wine & a few cocktails
worked all day today, made some burgers with sauteed onions, mushrooms and white cheddar on the stovetop and drank a cold beer or three
ready to kick off the 2024 CFB season with my 2nd favorite team facing off against the hated Criminoles
life is not bad at the moment
i still don’t love Freezus, despite the fact that he and I share a common affliction

it was, but worth it, both were really nice trips
and it appears i brought back the great fall-like weather from both SD and Richmond, the past few days here have been amazingly comfortable for late August
