To me the reason is because say there is a new story like Auburn getting a Baseball transfer.

I can go down the board and see a thread that says "Transfer Infield coming to Auburn from ..."

If i just click on the baseball thread there may be posts about other content that I have already seen.

Make the thread if you want to. Stop crying about it
