They need an excuse to charge exorbitant ticket prices for a mediocre team. Our AD and leadership have screwed the alumni for too long.

I feel bad for the kids there the last few years. My nephew is a senior and I think they have had maybe 4 or 5 SEC wins at home at Jordan Hare while he's been there.
Another nephew will be there in a couple of years. I can't imagine what it would be like on game day at home to just not care or expect a loss and a crappy performance. Thank you Tommy Tuberville for my formative years.

Did my part and bought an orange shirt. But every game is such an orchestration. Guess you gotta do something to bring the people in since the product on the field sucks.

I've come to believe that a big part of the all orange, blue outs, white outs, stripes, etc. is to push more Nike merch.
I did cave and buy a $35 dollar UA polo for $75 (I think) for the first Freeze out a couple of years ago so I've been as much a sucker as anyone else. I do refuse to buy Nike gear. Acnowlege that they probably are the best shoes and gear, but I refuse to support their wokeness (another question altogether).
I am sick of the laser/light shows. Let's just win the game, or at least play decent football.
