AHS will continue to get better and better on defense. Keith is a hard nosed coach.

Spain Park’s new coach is going to have some growing pains and he knows it. At Hoover and Thompson the next two weeks will be rough.
Future is brighter. They have better talent in the lower grades. Glad my boy is just a freshman now as they will be in better shape in a few years.

Watched the Milton vs Andalusia game last night. Andalusia won 42-31.

Burnette is huge but might not even be the best back on his team, Andalusia has some pretty damn good speed on their offense. Burnette had one really long run but the other RB made more plays.

Emory Williams looked really good his WRs dropped at least 8 easily catchable balls and he had one INT in the endzone that hit off of his WR hands. Emory has improved a ton this offseason and Raymond Cottrell is still a stud.

I’ll also say this, Andalusia seemed way better coached than Milton. I’ve noticed that Alabama teams always seems that way compared to Florida teams. Is the pay between football coaches that much different?

quote:

AHS repeated their performance @Enterprise that they did with Hoover. Meaning they got up by a few scores, gave up a couple of scores and won 31-21. They need to fix that.

A few years ago when he led Oxford to a title,it was one thing that frustrate me about that team. It seemed they would play down to competition. Or when they played good teams, they would either dig themselves a hole to climb out of or get up big and let the other team back into it somehow.

But they could always flip that switch and play elite when needed. It was frustrating at times, but made for one hell of an exciting year. Hell the state championship game was a nail biter because the starting QB got hurt, but he got his boys to pull it out right at the end.

Auburn High is in good hands if he stays for a while.

In case anyone is wondering who the more explosive player in Ga is. He's been doing this every Friday for 3 years, but the school/HC does a piss poor job of getting their players to camps (Same school Christian Tutt went to actually) so he's sitting on zero offers and not even a recruit page on any of the sites lol.

Dozier through 2 games leads the state in receiving yards at something like 464 number 2 in the state is at like 276. Just sayin’

He’s a slim guy like Capers size but a better jumper. I think he could easily play at 6’4” 215 he’s probably 195 now

Correction Davion Dozier leads the nation in receiving yards with 467. In 2 games some of the others on the board have played 3 games.

He's averaging 42.46 yards per catch.

Kinda off topic but I'm going to rant anyway. My old high school has thrown in the towel I'm afraid. We haven't had spring practices since pre covid, hired a coach that's never coached high school football this summer and surrounded him with a bunch of dads that coached this Jr group in youth football. We just lost to Douglas 56-7 and they played their JV most of the second half. It's only the second time in our programs history that we lost to them.

Sounds like my old high school. We have a real coach but getting kids to play is thought out there.
They still win some games and make the playoffs about half the time but genetically being a 50/50 split race school there are some country strong and fast black and white dudes. Way to much natural gifted athletes to not dominate their class and region.

Been drug infested for 20 years now.
