This. There is no way it happens. If he is hired, Saban will just take over the defense for the NC game, and Smart will start at AU immediately.

Not number 1, but a plus. Smart will be a better recruiter than Malzahn. malzahn recruits Arkansas, Smart recruits Georgia... It will be harder for the rumor folks to attack Kirby.

Let me start it- Saban found out Kirby did some questionable __________(fill-in blank), Saban pushed Kirby out to rid bama of the cancer. Saban knew the best place for the cheater = AU.
