But last year's Georgia game was the point of no return for me. This year just is not surprising.

This exactly sums my sentiments.

Yep get rid of him. The difference between the coaching yesterday was one coached to win the other coached to not lose and lost. EABOD Mr Malzahn

My argument is and always has been the following.

People were calling for Gus' firing after Mercer. I simply do not and still do not think firing Gus will accomplish anything of great significance at this point. I did however say early on if Gus deserves to be fired then I support it.

However, we have the same AD and money players behind the scenes and that worries me selecting a new coach. I do not think Gus can win with a drop back passer like he can with an accomplished dual threat QB.

I was willing to be patient and let him grow into a Sabanesque style HC, but it is clear he cannot let OC's take control. He cannot and that is maddening! He lost that game and I hated it for those kids. He lost the NC vs FSU.

He recruits well and seems to hire some good assistants, but I am no longer willing to be patient for him to evolve. It is clear he is stubborn and unwilling to adapt throughout the game.

I am all for letting him go but I am unsure of the correct timing. I can see an argument both now and after the season.

Yep I think gus is actually a good Head coach. Hires mostly good assistants and keeps the program clean. We get good talent. However he is an atrocious offensive coordinator against any team with talent comparable to ours. He refuses to give up control of te offense so no ifs ands or buts about it he has to go. I am not giving him anymore chances. I don't give a frick if we win our next game by 100 I'm done with him unless he wins out and even then I would be skeptical about next season. Sucks, as he did have decent potential as a head guy but he is such a fricking control freak that he's done himself him

I really wanted Gus to succeed. I liked the offense.

I would see no point in firing him, especially until the AD situation is sorted.

But I will still be hoping like Hell we win our remaining games. But I can honestly say I have no confidence left at all in Gus.

This is the part that drives me crazy.

And then, in my view, he put the qb in a position to fail so many times in the second half.

I still think we win against Arky and hope we can beat A&M, but I see no way he can beat GA and UA with his coaching mentality.

I jumped off the Gus bus after uga performance last year. My old auburn roomate of mine kept a level head about it, he was all for sticking with Gus. So we didn't talk about it since we were on opposite ends.

And then he, a new Orleans native excited to see the streak end, traveled to the lsu game in baton rouge and now he's over Gus.

I'm sure anyone who has to see corn dog fans regularly is absolutely disgusted. I'm a student at Alabama so I can relate
