How many USF transfers did you really want?
About 7.
I expect us to get around low 30s in the transfer portal. Getting some USF guys they understand the expectations from a players perspective will be good plus they have 5-6 players that are truly SEC quality.
We will lose some players out as well. Trimming of the fat if you will. And the junior class they will be senior class is not a big class so definitely need some mature upper class players to come in and supplement next years junior/redshirt sophomore/redshirt freshman classes.

Great hire. Really wish Auburn took a shot here.
Me too. He was at the top of the list for me. I’m thrilled with our hire nonetheless. But it’s an absolute home run hire for him as I’d seen his name floated for PSU.
As to what someone else asked about how many USF players we want anyway, they have a couple really good WRs and Byrum Brown. He is on record saying he hadn’t transferred to a bigger school because of CAG. And anytime you can get a QB who passed for 3000 and runshed for 1000 (and who almost accomplished this feat twice) you take them. Especially in the exact same system.

Meanwhile, Penn State, who was the first high-profile firing so they could get a head start on the coaching carousel, is still without a coach, and just got turned down by BYU’s coach
It's almost as if James Franklin blacklisted them.

Thats what its looking like. Id imagine alot of their fans have took notice. Lord knows, I'd be melting if it were Auburn stuck in limbo on signing day

Now being reported that Penn State is finalizing a deal with Matt Campbell. I’ll fully believe it when the ink is dry, but if that holds Penn State will have stumbled and fumbled into a pretty dang good hire.

To hell with USF, this piss poor copy of tiger walk, with this lame announcement with the CEO of USF athletics shitting on his 9-3 team he inherited, I am willing to bet Golesh didn't want anything to do with the CEO of athletics. Also F them for slipping in the Auburn upset in 2007 here in the press conference.
